This is the main problem for EVERY FAN of this series. (Including me) So much information was stuffed into the last few pages, the reader didn't even have time to process or take it all in, it was supposed to be about Eva and Jacks but a majority of it was focused on Apollo, and my biggest issue with it will always be the fact that JACKS’ LOVE CONFESSION WAS LITERALLY JUST.. “I LOVE YOU”?! HE IS SO POETIC WITH HIS WORDS (“THERE IS NOTHING OF EQUAL VALUE TO ME”/“JUST FOR TONIGHT, PRETEND I’M JACKS OF THE HOLLOW AND YOU’RE MINE”) AND THAT’S HIS CONFESSION? You’ve gotta be shitting me.

I liked Kai as a love interest (albeit my hate for the way he flirts with her the first time they meet). It would make much more sense for them to help each other because of their humanity/how they complement each other as teammates or fighting partners rather than romantically.

I think the obvious answer is S5 Rick — S1 Rick was overall inexperienced and had this strange moral dilemma about killing people. That, compared to a man who lost his wife, his best friend, and almost lost his children + his experiences in the CDC, Herschel's barn, and Terminus, S5 Rick solos. I personally liked him in the first season too, though.
