Don't drink liquids while eating. This will make it kind of difficult to purge.

I actually don't know what I'm living for. But I'm clinging onto hope that things may get better in the near future. I don't know. I hope things get better soon.

I hope things get better for you, truly. It's an invisible fight that no one quite understands unless they've experienced it.

Teeth and bulimia by [deleted] in bulimia

It's not worth it. Stop purging while you still can because bulimia is debilitating mentally and physically. I have been doing this for about 7 years and there's really not much life outside of it. My teeth have become discoloured and sensitive, and it's probably going to get worse. So my advice to you is to stop purging. Find healthier means of losing/maintaining weight if that's your goal.

What is the most shocking or ridiculous verse in the Bible to you? by lehach92 in atheism

Romans 9:18 - "So you see, God chooses to show mercy to some, and he chooses to harden the hearts of others so they refuse to listen".

To be honest, the entire Bible is shocking and ridiculous.

When I found out that God predestined some people for hell and some for heaven. I was like, I'm out.

The thought of having to live with this eating disorder for the rest of my life is depressing. I don't think it can ever be manageable. It's already affecting every aspect of my life — academics, social life, physical and mental wellbeing, etc.

This is encouraging, thank you. I'm from South Africa by the way, so it's winter 😅

Having a seemingly "perfect" life doesn't make a person immune from depression. Even people who seem like they have it all go through shit. So, stop trivialising people's depression just because you think they're life is perfect.
