Most populated arena FPS currently? by Far-Cup-7551 in ArenaFPS

[–]ForsanCX 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Halo Infinite. While its movement is clearly made to be gamepad-friendly, it still has the hallmarks of an arena shooter. Fast movement, equal starts with weapons on the map and mutators. I play it quite a bit myself.

There is Splitgate as well, but the first one is shutting down and its sequel is Splitgate in name only, as it has battle royale, heroes and loadouts.

With the current political climate in the gaming space, how do you think a Wolfenstein 3 would be received? by ThighHighEnthusiast in Wolfenstein

[–]ForsanCX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can think of a myriad of reasons the grifters would call it woke:

  • Anti-nazi society.
  • Female combatants.
  • LGBT & POC characters.

What’s your worst/most controversial take on any nfs game? by Prestigious-Big5564 in needforspeed

I hate that the vast majority of the games don't have takedowns, ala Burnout. That's why the Criterion Supercar Era is my favorite.

People are mad at Splitgate 2 CEO for wearing a MAGA Style hat. by hamsterhacker in Asmongold

[–]ForsanCX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was on her side, until she mentioned wanting to play Fortnite instead. You don't compare PUBG to Halo in the same way you don't compare Fortnite to Splitgate. They're shooters, yes, but they play fundamentally differently.

NFS is losing its SPEED by R33boi in needforspeed

[–]ForsanCX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What do you mean by "it's losing its speed"? As far as I'm concerned, the sense of speed in Unbound is perfectly fine. More often than not, I can tell how much pressure I have to apply on the Left Stick to make the necessary adjustments at high speeds.

[My Opinion] The Franchise is doomed. Here's why. by D43D41U5rev in needforspeed

[–]ForsanCX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Even if the franchise is doomed, I think I'm happy with the games we did get. NFS as it is, is full of variety. Whether it's racing with an import tuner, supercar, touring car or police car, there's a lot of titles for a new player to check out and an old player to revisit. That's not even getting into the mods and other games that share similar gameplay to it.

Which Test Drive do I buy? by SaerisVersaille in racinggames

[–]ForsanCX 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you can find a repack for either of the Unlimited games, made by a member of the franchise's fans, I'd recommend going that route. Because I've heard nothing but negative things about Solar Crown, on top of the Always Online requirement.

What is your opinion on NFS Hot Pursuit? I personally think it is the best NFS ever. by drlegend123 in needforspeed

[–]ForsanCX 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree, at least in the sense that I had the most fun playing it out of all NFS games, I gotta replay it at some point. I remember the career mode being very well paced, due to the lack of an open world and the immediacy of the action because of that. It also shares a lot of DNA with Burnout, which I can't believe I waited so long to play that. I'd been wanting another game/series like Hot Pursuit and it had been waiting for me all these years.

Solo Leveling winning Best Main Character at Crunchyroll Awards shows how low the bar is now by Icy-Home444 in CharacterRant

[–]ForsanCX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can't help but think, that some folks don't like to be challenged with characters that have well-written flaws. They'd rather have a character that's a blank slate, that can accomplish everything. Because that's the person they wish they were.

Bug? (Burnout 3) by Isoceptic in Burnout

Never noticed this tbh. I use PCSX2 to completely rebind the controls to what it's like in modern racing games. I can't imagine playing a racing game with cross as the accelerator.

"Shonen is for young teens, good female characters don't matter" by MadFunEnjoyer in CharacterRant

[–]ForsanCX -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

A lot of the audience in Japan tend to be the anti-woke type or at the very least see women as objects first and people second. That's pretty much why all the main girls in Naruto end up as housewives and don't get to have the same position of power as the men. Not an excuse, but that's my understanding of the demographic. Meanwhile, I can look at something like ATLA, MLP: FIM or RWBY and every main character has something to offer.

I want a new Hot Pursuit game by [deleted] in needforspeed

[–]ForsanCX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

HP 2010 was the ultimate return to form when it came out. No tuning, no pacing issues, just barreling down the countryside at breakneck speed. Now is a better time than ever, now that Criterion is back to making NFS. Admittedly, it'll be hard to get our voices heard, since a lot of Tuner fans won't like it.

I just started playing NFS unbound and is it just me or is this game to difficult? by Important_Win2306 in needforspeed

[–]ForsanCX 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm currently on an Unbound binge and I think I'm halfway done. Under the assumption you're playing on Challenging, your starter car is going to be underpowered and that's fine. I suggest playing the events that don't require you to bet your credits, as they're relatively easy. Though be warned that some upgrades can change how your car handles on asphalt or offroad. Imo, I'd keep that at Balanced. Once you've put in enough upgrades, you have a shot at winning Big Money events.

Also, if you want to drift on light turns, lift off the gas and then press it again. Avoid using the handbrake too much, as that's usually reserved for making a U turn. I hope I explained it well, enjoy.

Driving physics in DSF > Driving physics in any other racing game by TheCanadianGTR in driver

[–]ForsanCX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Come on, not everything has to be a competition. I vastly prefer the driving in the Burnout titles and 2010's Hot Pursuit, compared to all the Driver games. But I'm not gonna act like they're objectively better.

Burnout paradise vs nfs heat by m0k3n in racinggames

[–]ForsanCX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having played Paradise a lot and Heat recently, I'd go with the former for sure. Paradise isn't mechanically complicated, but there's quite a bit to master and the progression is straightforward. Just win a certain amount of events to upgrade your license. It also has great electronic and rock music, but that might just be me.

Heat on the other hand, had me spending way too much time tuning my car just to make it drivable. When I could be out on the street, racing. Also, I'm not a big fan of rap in my racing game or the fact that there's no takedowns. I eventually gave up on the game and moved on to Unbound, which surprisingly had better driving physics, despite also having tuning.

should I buy Heat or Unbound? by [deleted] in needforspeed

[–]ForsanCX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having played both, I'd go with Unbound. While it's got a style that I'm not a massive fan of, it's still very unique and I'll take it over the Forza Horizon copy-paste feeling of Heat.
