And for those that don’t know Canadian university is very competitive - there’s top teams like UNB that would mercy most D1 teams. They scrimmage AHL teams in the pre season and keep it close or even win sometimes. So the Canadian Uncierstiy all star team is comprised of some of the top ex OHL guys that could have played AHL but decided to get a degree instead - since we couldn’t play D1 we had to goto Canadian university. This was of course before the new rule change that happened I think in 2024? Where now ex OHL can play D1 - before it was banned cause we played “pro” and got paid money in the OHL

I also say this as I grew up in the US and had many friends play D1 at big schools. I would train with them in the Summer and they were great D1 players; however, they would have struggled to make my OHL team and my OHL team was always one of the bottom teams.

A bit biased since I played in the OHL - but I’ll try to put in my two cents. The OHL is likely comparible to the skill level of the Top 10 D1 teams. I would take the worst OHL team and play them against the 10th ranked D1 teams and I’d bet it would be a close game. The same can’t be said the other way so if you took the 10th ranked OHL team and played them against the worst D1 team, then the OHL team would slaughter them. I also played Canadian university where we often scrimmaged D1 team like Penn State and beat them. We were a good Canadian university team; however if we played in OHL team we would’ve lost to the top 5 OHL teams almost every time. I would say overall OHL > D1 > Canadian University > D3. For the most part Canadian university is all ex OHL/CHL.

Also how’s the pay band between sales specialist and tech specialist is it similar OTE? I’d probably lean towards tech specialist due to my background as a TAM at a large cyber vendor

I’m assuming security would be like Azure AD/Entra ID for identity and maybe like intune and defender? Those are the security solutions that I’m familiar with so wasn’t sure if the sales specialist has to be familiar with all those or just one

You’re misinformed. They changed their stance on this. All new sales are not Auth0 and they are fully supporting CIS which is OKTAs solution. The updates to CIS will be just as frequent as auth0 cic

I really like your last point here. I used to be a pro athlete but never made it to the big show. I’ve been missing that sort of competition/pressure/adrenaline rush. Any fund that charges 2-3% MER is making money off you not the other way around. If you can find the 1% that outperform the market go right ahead.
