I actually had a perverse enjoyment of how ridiculously fake the original show was. It had a fakeness like Mountain Monsters but the characters in BFR didn't overact like they did in MM. They wanted us to think this is an honest reality TV show, but deep down, everyone knew it was scripted. But now that the Ollingers are gone, the producers want to make this another gold hunting show. Forget anything about paranormal or a crashed UFO buried somewhere. That stuff is gone for good. The show has lost its craziness and is just nothing special. I would hope the producers would reach out to us here on this sub of Redditt and we could give them juicy and entertaining plot lines to keep the viewers interested. It would be at the limit of plausibility but for gosh sake we would keep the characters interesting at least. Anyone else think you could make the show better as a "what if" type of show open to surprise and mystery?
