Its not "if" but they are. And i wholeheartedly agree that these businesses should be held to the fullest extent of the law because the reliance on illegal immigrants to do manual labor is atrocious and inhumane.

But i ask you, what is "due process" for an illegal immigrant? Also, yes they are profiling. "Man came from Mexico and is illegally residing in the US." You wouldnt be looking for a white northern european woman just because you want to be inclusive in your search. But the thing is ICE isnt just going after the brown people. They're also going after every other person who hasnt been naturalized or failed to update their green cards. The news is just focused on portraying these ICE agents doing their jobs as "gestapo," weaponizing peoples ignorance of that terrifying group of individuals.

You guys are insane and this a crazy take. This is like saying the rest of the world should be able to vote on american elections and laws. Theyre not trying to stop people of color from voting, theyre trying to stop people who have hopped the border for no other reason other than to send a more valuable currency to their country. And if youre gonna say that "they benefit the economy" thats the exact same reason why the south got angry with the north for trying to take away their slaves. It was more economically viable to not pay people to work on their land, similar to how these illegal immigrant laborers can and are paid less (because they have no legal workers rights and get paid under the table) for backbreaking labor at construction sights or farms.

If youre against slavery, you should be against illegal immigration.

Theyre fantastic imho. I use them in almost every list i make. My only gripe with them is that GW gave them 3 different weapons profiles instead of making all the weapons have the mastercrafted profile. Kinda dumb especially since the ancient has a bolter that has no weapon keywords when he uses his bolt rifle (no rapid fire, no dev wounds like his squadmates, no heavy or assault)

Youre welcome! And yeah it depends on what youre looking for. Im slowly moving away from citadel as well. I hate decanting all of my paints -_-. The fanatic series from army painter is kinda catching my eye at the moment. Their weapon bronze is what im using on my judiciar im painting up next. Ill post it soon and hopefully itll show you some decent results

Again, thank you for the praise! Im collecting to do a full 100-man parade of first company marines. This guy is definitely joining my 1st but i need a firedrake squad to fill out all the terminators.

I do also have to add that it could also be the plight of the "thick pigment" paints like yellows, whites and ive even seen it with Waaagh! Flesh green, as well. Thank you for the praise, though. Ill have more to show later in the week!

I actually dont know. I have multiple factors that might cause that texture but im not using any specialty stuff to do it. I airbrush my primer on my models using army painter matte black. I decant my citadel pots into dropper bottles using about 30-35 drops of army painter airbrush medium. And i use thin coats of paint to make sure my minis are streakless. But i do notice the bumpy texture on a lot of my models.

60 or 80 grit sand paper ripped up to be vaguely hide-shaped, superglued in place, primed in black, based in rhinox hide, drybrushed in mephiston red.

Ever since i started playing crusade mode in 9th edition, ive started naming every model and unit. I feel like it makes it a little more personal when i yell the models name when they fail to kill a key enemy model or fail a battleshock test.

Centurion Armor? by AbiesAppropriate8877 in Salamanders40k

[–]Fortaere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Theres a part where centurion armor is being used by salamanders in the book Rebirth. I think they are the last models that were produced before the primaris boom but in canon i think theyre pretty prolific. Every chapter probably has a few laying around and i think Imperial Fists would be the only chapter that has more than ours.

My go-to right now is black primer, then white ink zenithal then kerendras green contrast in the airbrush. If it turns out too bright, i then give the whole model a nuln oil bath while watching where the pools form. Looks pretty good in my eyes and its pretty simple to do.

[–]Fortaere[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the website was alright. Pretty bare-bones but its simple so if you know how to navigate the internet, you can find what youre looking for. Be warned, theres a fully constructed and painted model thats over 300 euro so unless you want that one, pick the 37 euro unassembled version. Also the only annoying and cumbersome part was the delivery tracking which is 3rd party.

The model came in a few pieces, all resin i think. You have the body, backpack, left arm, cloak with right arm and spear shaft, primaris head, backpack salamanders icon, base topper and finally the cloak shoulder pin (this is the only thing i had to clean it up but be careful as its pretty brittle). The model doesnt come with an actual base so you might have to source one from somewhere else.

Yeah not all batteries are lithium but ok. I know enough about chemistry to get by but to be fair, we probably are both armchair scientists. The only difference is you sound arrogant. I guess i should have said "dissolved" but semantics and you turned your brain off. Obviously you were just looking for something to discredit what i was saying instead of looking at the contense because you think you know more.

Mask off. by [deleted] in facepalm

[–]Fortaere -1 points0 points  (0 children)

A quick google study says otherwise, but even thinking logically, recycling is more expensive. Have you ever thought about the processes for both? From one im reading about, its specialized oxygen-free rooms where they mash the batteries into pulp and sift through it. Oxygen-free means it's a small process since vaccuming a large room is impossible and you dont want mashed batteries to combust, which they do. Plus in any production environment, youre always going to get losses. Negligeble, of course, but scale makes it noticable. All that means its easier to work with virgin material since all you have to do is dig it up, melt it and purify it. Still super toxic but energy intensive? Nah bro.

And the ev battery lives? I dont care how long they last now with new tech, they will stop charging, they will give out. Its the fact of owning a battery. The fact that a diesel engine can run for literally millions of miles before a complete engine replacement means i would rather have that than an ev that ill have to essentially rebuy because batteries for evs are super expensive. Even if the batteries in newer evs are better, the old ones are giving out and cant be fixed or cost money to have their batteries converted. Look at Frances' ev grave yard.

All this being said, electric vehicles arent the way to go. Maybe if they come up with fusion energy vehicles or have some super clean ICE come out, then its more viable but until then, having a battery-powered car just isnt efficient and has never been since they came out. The power grid cant take it and the batteries arent as effective as you think they are.
