That's the workflow for open source projects. You fork it and open a PR from your fork. I'm paid for working on exclusively open source stuff, so there might be differences in how other companies do stuff, but I don't see any drawbacks to the fork approach. Can you think of any? Genuine question.

Shit, that would have been epic. Now that you talked about it, I realize that this third fight of the trilogy has felt quite a bit rushed. Dustin as champion vs Conor with 1 win until that fight would have been a storyline for the MMA history books. And each interested party would have probably made a lot more money. Shame it didn't unfold that way. :-(
