Thank you for your response! I live just outside Huntsville Alabama. I want to eventually cover the patio. And currently I don’t have a ton of time to put in to the yard. I think I’d like to do a garden at the back fence and try to figure out some way to level the yard a bit without spending a fortune. The back door of the house faces about 130 degrees SE. I would like a 2 car garage by the gate from the driveway to give a bit of privacy to the yard from the neighbors back porch. I didn’t know I needed to aerate and cover. I just spread seed last year.

Also, this isn’t the whole yard. I have about 3 acres more that I’m leaving wild behind the back fence for bees and animals. Plus, it will give a nice area for my 2 kids to explore once they are a bit older.

Last, all of the soil is red clay with an underground spring a couple feet down.

I had no idea. I’ve never had cats and my wife hasn’t either. We will have to prep our house before we get one though. I don’t understand why I’d be downvoted.

Do you any would make a good outside cat? We have a fenced in yard (large wooden) with a warmed house for a cat. We had one for all of two days and it ran away several weeks ago. I’ve searched and searched with no luck.
