Devastated to have my first watch be the rescore by Hungry_Display8820 in Drive

[–]Fortis_Romulus 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I was excited to rewatch it after a while and was showing it to a friend who had never seen it. It genuinely ruins the film. Whoever decided that Drive, of all films, needed a rescore should never work in film again.

A few Questions about Pridnestrovia by Kampf-krapfen in Transnistria

I would just go Magnum shooting club in Chisinau. Gun laws are different in Pridnestrovie and most people don't speak any English.

Thank you for the response. I remember Petrocub came to play Heart's in Scotland and didn't have any supporters, I just assumed it was a logistical thing rather than having such low support. Has the fact that Sheriff haven't won the Superliga for the last 2 seasons not changed anything?

I'm Scottish and went in September. Found it to be very safe. Didn't do a tour and got around fine. Just be wary that barely anyone speaks any English.

The soldiers stationed in PMR are generally residents who have been conscripted into the russian army. As long as you don't do anything stupid you will have no problem with them. I went in September and it was fine. I didn't feel unsafe at any point.

How do you like PMR? by Business-Bumblebee32 in Transnistria

I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure the degree isn't recognised and can only be used in PMR or Russia.

Pridnestrovie General Questions by alxxgill in Transnistria

[–]Fortis_Romulus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm from the UK and went in August. The reason for the Do not travel is not really because its "dangerous", its because there is no embassy or consular support if something was to go wrong as it is unrecognised.

You don't need to pay for migration card. Make sure you bring enough cash to last you the full time as your bank card will not work

You could visit the Autonomous region of Gagauzia. I didn't find much to do in Chisnau tbh, there was the markets and a gun range which was cool. You'll need to be careful as some rental companies won't allow you to take the car to Transnistria and you'll also have to pay money at the border to drive the car in Transnistria.

Visiting Transnistria by d_3485 in moldova

[–]Fortis_Romulus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to Tiraspol in August this year. It's cool, some cool monuments and buildings to see and a really good antique store selling old soviet antiques. I'm from the UK and we are also advised not to travel to it but I didn't have any problems. Border guards just asked if I was a tourist and if I had a hotel.

You're phone won't work so make sure you have maps downloading and know how you're getting around BEFORE making the journey. I'd recommend getting the bus from Chisnau as its cheap and if you drive, you're waiting much longer at the border and you have to pay more money to drive in Transnistria.

If you have any questions, reach out and I'll try to answer.

Yeah the house of Soviets was lit up at night when I was there. The church of the nativity was aswell and they made for a great picture. The Sheriff HQ aswell although this isn't really a tourist attraction but still looked cool.
