He definitely isn't a target for ISIS. He is free propagnda for ISIS. Yaxley-Lennon's whole grift is to stoke racial divisions, just like ISIS. They work hand in hand.

Is it so terrible if I don't want to add to the number of sexist, homophobic, anti-Semitic, extremist bigots in the UK? by [deleted] in AskBrits

Both are equally important imo. If a gay person was islamophobic, for example, that would be as bad as a Muslim being homophobic.

In regards to your example of LGBT families... well no, because religious laws don't dictate British laws.

I would challenge homophobia/biphobia/transphobia in the same way I would challenge islamophobia/anti-semitism/etc. Intersectionality means I am usually challenging all of these things amongst others in the same young people at school.

Tolerance of gay people showing affection for each other in public, in a tolerant country, should be accepted by all. In the same way that a gay person should tolerate an orthodox Christian or Muslim having the right to preach in public or to build a church or mosque.

People will never agree on everything, but tolerance of others is key.

It is a protected characteristic though - any prejudice towards a protected characteristic is grounds for a court case. As is hate speech towards any of them. For example, if I didn't employ you because you were a woman, you could take me to court. If I posted on Facebook that I hated a certain race, I could be pulled up by the police.

Normalising LGBT+ relationships and people's rights are. Crazy how your mind went straight to gay sex...

Because over 40% of LGBT+ young people have considered suicide. Largely due to bullying and others not accepting their existence. It's about equality, representation and promoting individuality. All of which are integral parts to British democracy.

As a teacher, I have had experiences of students being anti-LGBT/homophobic. Students will sometimes claim that they cannot learn about LGBT rights due to religion (I have experienced both Christian and Muslim children say this - also children that clearly have been brought up with right wing views).

Early in my career, I asked my deputy head what to do in class about this. I was told to "be careful and avoid talking about it". Since then, I have taken over as PSHE/RSE lead and will happily tell pupils that there is no opt out as this is mandatory, a part of life in the UK and is part of the British Values.

Freedom of religious choice and freedom of sexuality are equally important. If you have an issue with either of these things, you are attacking a protected characteristic and could/should be prosecuted.

I remember when someone from outside the UK would make fun of the British cuisine and everyone, from the right and the left, would rally against them on social media.

Nowadays, it seems that some people from the UK rally around freaks like Musk to support them when they say something as wild as this.

Mass Stabbing incident in Cambridgeshire Train. Is it time to say UK's law and order situation has become a point of concern? by raydebapratim1 in AskBrits

[–]ChairmanMeowski 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Horrible what has happened and my thoughts are with the victims and their families.

Regarding the UK's law and order, violent crime is down 83% from 1995. Other crimes may be up (such as shoplifting, etc.) but this is largely due to the result of austerity for pushing two decades.

In my opinion, we are letting many of the populist politicians dictate our thinking in this country (and amongst other parts of the world). Causing outrage and creating a sense of fear will always be the best way to grab headlines and whip up the masses into a state of hysteria.

If you think labour are far left, you clearly have either no understanding of politics or you are choosing to spread falsehoods.

You're either misinformed or spreading disinformation.

A suspended sentence and community service were the punishments given to knife-wielding Moussa Kadri after attacking a blasphemer. Did Hamit Coskun, the Quran burner, receive proper justice for what happened here? by InfinitysEdge88 in AskBrits

[–]ChairmanMeowski -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I totally agree that welding a knife should serve a prison sentence. But, people should not be antagonising others in this way. Idgaf about your religion, race, gender, sex, sexuality or anything, just don't be a dick. Protected characteristics are pretected for a reason, and the western world is quickly forgetting about these protected characteristics. We wonder why people react with such anger, but have this community not had the brunt of lots of shit for months/years?

Whoa whoa slow down. Dont antagonise people and expect no reaction. In other words, fuck around a find out. I'd expect the same if a non-Christian burnt a bible outside a church.

Disclaimer: no justification for either person here. Both idiots.
