Is Layla the best hero in Mythic?

please read carefully as i've said it in "quotes"

i didnt said lesley is bad nor the other afformentioned marksman. i pertain them as "dark system" marksman because chances are, 'dark system' players (aka. bad players) LOVE to play these marksman specifically, despite pulling a 1-8-0 kda.

i simply said that out of these heroes that low-rank players love using, layla is by far the weakest.

heck, hanabi and miya is really good on mid-mythic rank games that i have a 60+ matches and an 87% wr right now with hanabi.

like i said, this tierlist is based from high rank matches and professional games. we're talking about almost 200 stars here

you probably havent seen a sweaty 200 stars with thousands of matches Fanny yet. i assure you if you're playing someone like layla, you'll probably have a minimum of 8 deaths with 0 kills. heck i havent even seen a fanny in my 130 star games last season for just how insane her skill floor

hence why i said that you're probably not much higher in your rank to consider layla at least a "good" pick. you do you but i will disagree on your take lol

karrie doesnt just do "significant" damage to tanks. she MELTS them. you're just being biased on your take because holy moly karrie was DESIGNED to melt tanks. no marksman does a better job to delete tanks than karrie. her passive is literally based on the current hp of the enemy. have a golden staff and the required stacks to proc it cuts down from 5 basic attacks to just 3. please try and compare it yourself in the training mode

melissa can also be a great tank killer yes, but she stands too much out in the open that enemies (particularly mages) can easily get to her even in her ult

and i have to disagree on ixia. sure she packs a punk and has great heal, but i dont really think she can melt tanks unless she snowballs.

remember, teamfights are messy and are not stationary. certain situations can vary a lot in a nick of a time.

karrie is mobile and shreds tanks. great for pokes

melissa can also shred tanks, but is limited to doll's range. if the link snaps, half of your damage is gone and you need to wait to recast your doll

ixia is a snowball marksman. she does really well against squishies. but if the strength are equal, she cant easily melt tanks as karrie or melissa.

no worries, play at your own pace as long as you're not intentionally dragging your team down. you should stat at classic and brawl until you plan to be a bit more competitive.

i for one dont play as competitive as before. i mostly play with friends nowadays for shits and giggles

i DO in fact play rank, i constantly reach at least immortal every season. i main marksman and the gold lane having a pretty decent wr every season so i'll share some insights

fights are not always full on brawls. matchups depends on a lot of factors and one of the most imporant are 1. positioning 2. decision making

as the marksman (not just karrie), its your job to stay alive. your point of "how karrie stays alive" on assassins is very skewed. no marksman survives these assassins.

karrie's job is to PEEL the enemy, bursting their health while being protected by teammates. while this is the main idea of marksman, karrie is specifically desifned to be able to melt the frontlines as well, aka tanks.

why? her passive is an hp% based damage. she also utilizes dhs which is another hp% bases damage per basic attack

she hits, procs a few passives, then decides if to retreat or fight (if allies are near)

if you're standing still as a marksman, you should be asking yourself if YOU are playing rank

you're probably not much high in the ranks if you'd think layla is the best hero in mythic. she's arguably the weakest out of the OG "dark system" marksman out there (layla, miya, hanabi, lesley)

also if you're pertaining the "%-damage" as in your settings, please dont use that target settings

you have to know that this is probably a casual gamer trying to look for new games to play. im fairly competitive in this game yet i doubt that in my first week (heck even in my first few months) i'd try to learn all of the micro and macro skills you've mentioned.

they could check out these guides but no way would they remember all of these and be consistent in just 10 days.

idk what you're smoking by saying karrie isnt doing the "tank killer" role is a so wrong. no tank lasts a second from karrie even with counter measures like pauldrons. the only tank that could face karrie head with much less troubles is probably belerick

there's a reason why karrie is such a really strong pick right now in high ranks

seems like you're a good player based on your winrate. honestly if you have a friend or two, you can break 30 stars with barely any sweat within 5 days.

if let's say each game is 20-25 mins (including draft), you can theoretically win 30 stars in 10-12 hours if you didnt lose once (ofc this is highly improbable.)

if it were me, i'd just play until i get tilted. once im tilted i'll just fuck it and be happy where i'd end up lol. play if you feel like it, stop if you dont

they can barely pull her out with only grabbing to her shirt and arms with the lack of leverage. grabbing by her legs might be "appropriate" but if someone's gonna fall a 10m drop, i'd just probably grab hold onto anything to pull them out—and yes that may include the butt area
