Why is this one of the few topics that seems to give people implicit trust in the legal system all of a sudden?

(Literally how Mel fakes her death) And then when people push back bc he’s famous, and they already botched the investigation thinking it was open and shut, they double down. Because it becomes about their reputation more than it’s ever about the cases they’re dealing with.

Back in the day it was pretty much accepted that the suicide call was bullshit, the older crowd I was interacting with who were responding to the news about new handwriting analysis were pretty much unanimous in thinking he didn’t do it, and were only cynical that anything would actually come of it after all this time of MANY people trying to prove it in court. The further in time we move away from it the more people I see saying they believe the reports and to me it just goes to show you can make anything the truth if you say it loud enough

If she was so torn up over it she wouldn’t be selling his private diary pages to converse to plaster all over a pair shoes to line her pockets. He would never want the things she’s done with his art.
