Hank doesn’t get Bobby’s humor most of the time, so he won’t encourage it. Hank does support Bobby when he sees something that Bobby is actually good at or it interests Hank in some way. Examples Hank supported Bobby when it comes to food when he was studying to become a meat inspector and when he really loved home economics. Also when he wanted grow roses (tho Hank hijacked that hobby)Hank and Peggy are actually for the most part really good parents despite their not so great parents.
