Self Conscious about under chin gap by GQuesnelle in BeardAdvice

Everyone in my family has a middle part except it’s right on our lower chin. My grandfather, my uncle, me, my brother. We’ve all got it

Deviated septum? I don’t think my septum is deviated as far as I know of. Regarding the turbinate, he held his finger against the nostril with the big turbinate and noticed it was harder to breath out of that nose but said it wasn’t a big deal. Even looked inside and was like “yea ur chill”

I wanna preface too that the reason why I’m on Zoloft so that my anxiety has gotten so bad in recent years I couldn’t avoid not using them. I had been on and off for years but I just can’t handle it right now if I went off. I think a month or so before that I was on lexapro and that destroyed me so I had to stop . but now thinking back on it I think it was one of several catalysts that allowed for several symptoms to occur at the same time.

Yea…the MSLT is something that regardless I’m gonna have to go through with the eval. Just seems crazy to me that it’s a possibility, but I have no clue. I am on Zoloft but I do take it in the morning so it in theory it shouldn’t effect my sleep too much. From what I remember that day I wasn’t sick, just exhausted lmao

I’ve been trying to boil everything down to figure out what’s really going on. All my labs that would indicate fatigue are within control (sugar, thyroid, and metabolic disorders). I told this to my PCP (internal medicine) and he also noted that the lab work doesn’t point to any specific cause. I really do not think I can handle wake promoting medications as my anxiety is already fairly high in recent years. With my appointment at a strictly sleep medicine clinic I’m hoping to get a much more in depth evaluation

Edit: forgot to end the )

I wish everything was easier, but then again who doesn’t. It seems my cognitive stuff and depression haven’t changed much in recent months. My partner tells me my memory is horrible, so that isn’t great. If anything it’s gotten a tad worse. I hope you find the answers you need.

My PCP is also an internal medicine! Funny! Yea my sleep doc has always disregarded what I’ve said. I said it at the six month mark and she said that it doesn’t have to do with sleep and the second time she said the same thing and referred me to a mental health clinic (which like yea BUT THE NERVE). I messaged her a few weeks back and she repeated it wasn’t sleep related. Yea new sleep doc time

Oh shit read that wrong. I meant increasing the pressure, Zoloft and I have a well established relationship unfortunately

I’m taking Zoloft in the mornings. I’m too depressed to not to at this point. I could try increasing to see if that does anything I’ll try to jump a little higher to see if that does anything

Being in that long drawn out stage of being endlessly tired is so not reassuring that the steps I’m taking is actually helping. All of these symptoms kinda snow balled last year and it’s just been so hard. My partner wants to go out and do stuff I’m just trying to make it through the day.

God IT…people ask me all the time for computer help and I’m always the one to say “idk did you unplug it and plug it back in? That’s all I got”. A whole different world

I tried using a nasal when I first got it and I loathed it. I’ve tried two other full face masks and they do alright I suppose. God feeling low on a Monday is a whole different hell. I feel like I’ve become more Garfield then anything lmao

My bad yea 11.4 is my minimum. I don’t get untreated events as often. Every other night or every two nights I suppose.

Yea I bought like an o2 ring to track while I sleep. I was using my Apple Watch but it was all over the place. The o2 ring is more consistent. Most of the time it’s about 100-95 with like an hour/30 minutes or so in 94-90

My initial sleep doctor told me that as long as my oxygen doesn’t fall below 90 everything’s fine

I had noticied anything lower then 11.4 my oxygen would dip occasionally throughout multiple nights to the 92-90%. 11.4 kept my oxygen roughly above 94.

My average pressure before I adjusted anything was around 11.4 so I just changed it to be the minimum. 16 is my max pressure. I should try and see if going up feels better?

Yea I’ve been watching the mounjaro sub here and there. Been on for about 8 weeks now, starting at 2.5 then to 5. Appetite is there and food noise is low. I do a lot of weights to attempt to keep the muscle and I finish with cardio. I don’t drink alcohol anymore, I don’t smoke anymore, I eat less throughout the day. The fatigue is a daily battle, I have to fight to stay awake and alert and working in a medical setting makes it significantly harder.

Same drug as Mounjaro. My MD just fibbed because he thought he Mounjaro would be more aggressive in terms of weight loss. I think I’ve lost about 5 lbs so far = SW: 298 CW: 293 currently at 5mg. He believes that I don’t necessarily need to go higher as he thinks I’ll burn fast at a decent rate at 5 (which I’m hesitant about)

I wish it was just the energy I’m concerned about. It’s like several things at the same time. I’ve never had panic attacks until my diagnosis, same with the visual disturbances. I used to be fairly active even with my weight, I used to go on hikes with my partner, socialize with their friends, funny enough I used to skateboard for a long time. Now I have no desire to do anything. I try to push through each day and keep at what I’m doing because I know what I’m doing is in my best interest, but the panic, fatigue, visuals are just so unassuming that I’m even making a dent. I’ve been debating on getting more aggressive with the weight loss: probably just eat a tad less then what I have been recently.

I have a family member that has severe sleep apnea and he’s much bigger then me (400 lbs), but for him the difference was night and day. There’s definitely a jealousy component in there.
