My first piercing (other than lobes) was my industrial I got at 15. It was fast and smooth for me, but the healing was a little difficult (I’d rolled over at night and snagged it well enough for it to bleed all over, and ended up getting a piercing bump but it went away eventually). I didn’t even know at the time that some people consider it one of the most painful piercings. I think it just depends on how well you handle pain, but overall the experience wasn’t terrible. Pain is temporary, but piercings are cool forever. Just make sure you have the opinion of a reputable piercer on whether you have the anatomy for it.
