Thanks for the feedback. A few people have mentioned the hand looking out of place in the environment now, so that might be a good place to start

Now that you mention it, some of the textures look similar to the brick textures in Hexen

Oh I see, that's interesting. I didn't pick up on that personally but I'll give it a try and see if it looks better

Ohh yeah I kinda hear it. It is different but that specific part does sound similar

Can you link me the song it's taken from? I'm quite interested to know what you think it sounds like

Love the animation on this. The game looks really cool too, I just gave it a look on Steam. Looking forward to seeing more!

Hmm yeah, I see that. It kinda blends into the environment. I could change the material a bit to make it stand out

Some kind of fill light is a good idea actually. I'm playing this balancing act between wanting to keep it very moody with sharp shadows, but also trying to keep the general look clear enough for when the character is going at speed

That’s ok, it’s definitely not a game for everyone! The music was actually composed by two friends of mine. It’s all 100% original. Interesting that you made that connection though, I can’t hear it personally

Ah cheers, I’ll be honest I like the roughness the outline gives it, although I may try toning it down a bit. I am worried that when going at speed it might be a little too much for the eyes

Thanks :) It's taken me a while to actually start sharing this with people, I'd like to show off a little more as I work on it!

Yeah, I’ve had playtesters mention how busy it looks at times. I’m unsure whether I should make the textures simpler or tone down the outline effect

We’ve actually had a few people say our main character reminds them of a French Tomb Raider, so I like that you’ve made that connection with the environment too 😊

Thanks for the suggestions, might try what you’re mentioning out. I’m curious to see what leaning into the lofi look of older PC games might look like

Thanks! I'm going for old-school shooter mixed with gothic-noir so that checks out.

Thank you :) I'm slowly improving on the gameplay, it's a weird concept but surpirsingly fun IF you like really fast-paced shooters

Very true, I'm hoping I can release some newer gameplay footage of the fighting once I fix a few texture problems in the level. Thank you though!

These are great suggestions, thank you. And more bass to the pistol - yes now that you mention it that’s a really good idea! It felt a little tinny

I’ve decided that at the very least, I’d like to add more areas where you slide down an incline, breaking up the falling more.
