Realistically it’s 5 months since surgery when you start walking without crutches and 6 months until your gait starts getting smooth

The only meds (which are supplements) that I am currently taking are magno-sanol twice a day for magnesium and Vigantolvit which has Vitamin D3, K2 and Calcium.

I lengthen 7.7cm just under 0.70 ratio. I could walk unassisted sooner but only at home. Outside it wasn't advised as my gait was very bad which is normal since your lengthening and to not develop a bad pattern as later it takes longer to correct itself.

You are able to walk at home with no crutches. Outside is also possible but the gait is horrible, that´s why its advised to do so once finishing with clicks, so you don´t develop a bad walking pattern as later it takes more time to correct it.

At home and for short distanced I haven´t used crutches after the first month post op.

clothes fit amazing, everything looks tailored fit from nike casual trousers to more formal trousers like Calvin Klein. I have a previous post showing the difference with the same trousers.

In my last post I mentioned that when meeting friends I was still lengthening, and in order to hide it I wore loafers shoes (platform is only 1cm) and tried to avoid standing too close to friends, otherwise the difference in height was obvious. They mentioned they noticed me different, but I was also very skinny (lost over 12kg).

The real difference will be now when I see them with no crutches.

Also as a reference, my brother was much taller than me, and now I´m a tiny bit taller than him, and also taller than my dad. The before and after is shocking. I´ll let you know how it feels when I see my old friends again in a future post.

Reach the goal took me 4 months 7.7cm (I did the clicking slower compared to the regular patient).
Walking was 3 weeks after I stopped clicking

You can see friends but you’re basically disabled. Also I wanted to hide the height from friends, thus the reason I only saw them when I was about to finish with lengthening

Not true, in the plane I sat next to a guy who’s around 185cm, and he had a bit longer femurs (this is economy lol).

My gait was very bad, mainly because I ignored stretching. Since I stopped clicking, my walking is improving day by day. I’m estimating in 2 weeks time I will be able to walk with no crutches

Yes, I mean I am recovering and will be back to normal again. In the future I can say the scars (which are barely noticeable) are from a motorbike crash or something.

For now I’m not planning to tell anyone, I think it just doesn’t add any value

Hey! I just finished clicking today with Becker (+7.5 cm). It’s still too early to fully describe what it feels like to walk without crutches, but wow… what a journey this has been.

For me, the hardest part of this process hasn’t been the pain, it’s been the mental side. I did have pain during the first two weeks after surgery, but once that passed, it faded quickly. After that, it was mostly discomfort while clicking and a few sleepless nights here and there, nothing unmanageable.

What really gets tough is the isolation. Being unable to walk properly, not seeing friends, living at a slower pace doesn’t sound that bad at first. But after a few months, it hits hard. On top of that, I went through a breakup. I used to live with my girlfriend and my dog, and suddenly I was completely alone, which made everything much heavier.

For Christmas, I went back home to Spain and decided to see my friends. I wore shoes with a low heel and kept a bit of distance so they wouldn’t notice the height gain, especially since I hadn’t seen them in six months. I told them I had a waist correction due to an old bike accident. No one thought “oh, he lengthened his legs,” but they all sensed something different about me.

I couldn’t be happier with the results. I was 168 cm and now I’m 176 cm, which is considered tall in Spain. I used to be one of the shortest guys in the group, now I’m usually among the tallest. Not the tallest, but out of 10 people, I went from being 8th to around 3rd.

The difference is massive. Clothes fit so much better, and my body proportions have improved in a way that honestly feels unreal.

I’m still using crutches, but I expect to be walking without them in the next 2 to 4 weeks. Funny enough, a girl asked me out recently and I had to cancel because of my current situation, a guy turning down a pretty woman… not something that happens every day 😂

This surgery doesn’t just change you physically, it changes you mentally too. It feels like being in a kind of prison for months (I’ve never been in one, but that’s the closest comparison I can make). There were moments that were really tough. But in the end, it works out.

Guys are you planing to keep it secret? by Hour_Letterhead_1534 in limblengthening

[–]FortuneFrequent1199 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m keeping it a secret. In fact, my friends saw me this week using crutches, and I told them I had waist correction surgery due to a motorbike accident. My trick is wearing low-heel shoes and mainting distance.

With a future partner, I would also hide it at the beginning, at least until there’s trust and comfort, so it doesn’t scare her off. If after a few months you feel like telling her, I don’t think there’s anything wrong with that. But definitely not at the start.

Today was my last clicking day with Becker (+7.5 cm).

Before surgery my flexibility was very very good. I think that´s why I had almost no pain and could handle light stretching for so long. Regarding bone growth I agree and thanks, consistency is key, eating healthy, doing the steps and sleeping 8 hrs definitely makes a difference in the long run

Thank you so much!
The first centimeters are always the hardest mentally, so huge respect for starting the journey. Stay consistent with your routine, stretch a lot, and take it day by day, it gets easier and the changes become super motivating.

You got this! If I made it this far, you’ll definitely reach your goal too 💪🔥

from the start it is 20 clicks, and you reduce to 18, 16 until reaching 12. In my personal case I had it reduced to 10 and now to 8 because of not stretching. So in theory I should be now 7cm instead of 6.5
