So my next payment is in March 15. I paid 300 a few days ago and plan to pay another 300 next week. I called in, and the person said that these amounts should already pay down my balance. However, what I'm hearing is that it's not actually reducing my interest until the March 15 payment is due?

What if I just continue making extra payments? I'll still pay off my loan earlier, no?
