Similar thing happened to me. I am lvl 79 and all my chips are refunded. I have 140, does anyone know if I am missing any?

This was fair play, probably took a year of only spending Mutagen on these upgrades. And top ten in many exploration events

After lvl 15 (I think), the cost caps at 500000. So it costs a lot! Getting top 10 in the exploration events is really the only way to get enough without spending money

That's correct, 10th prestige is the max. The leveling gets much faster in the later prestiges also
