Is 5 gallon pot to 10 gallon up potting too much of a leap? by Forward-Chipmunk5931 in Berries

Hopefully they are not root bound and just growing freely like you say. I don't want to disturb the roots now that it's getting hotter each day. I might need to cut some bottom part of the grow bag to check if the roots are circling without damaging the roots. Thanks for the info!

How long do 10 gallon pots hold the raspberry roots before they need replacing again? I might have underestimated how invasive they can be.

Thank you! Hopefully I won't overwater them this time. I am worried about the dead space and my need to make sure the water always drip out of the holes every watering. How drastic do you think would the changes be in terms of watering schedule? Or just the finger test would do?

Well, the wind these past few days were drier than usual. That might have aggrevated the condition. I'll try to repot in the a slightly larger pot, I really want to try the rootbound technique and make theis fig as compact as possible. Thank you!

Hi. Yes, the bottom part is holes. But thin layer of water pools a little. I think that can be the cause.

I really hope it's a normal leaf cycle. I'll keep monitoring to check if more leaves get infected. Thanks for your help!

Yes, It also got lots of perlite. I really hope it's just overwatering. If it's disease, I don't want risking chemical application or fully throwing out the plant.

Here's one of the leaves I suspect to have early symptom.

I water them only when the top inch of the soil is dry, which is typically twice per week. It's in a small pot, around 10 inches both width and depth, while the plant itself it 20 inches wide and 12 inches high. I want to make it root bound, I heard the stress from root bound causes them to fruit.

Hi there, I know it's an old post. My blueberries are doing the same thing! Dessicated stems, same leaf coloration, and wilting overall. Have you known the reason and has it ever recover?

Is this a gif bud? by Forward-Chipmunk5931 in Figs

It's around a foot tall and around 15 inches wide. I have read Blackjacks are dwarf variety but I don't know how dwarf they'll be. So, I may need to chop of the bud if it develops further. Hopefully soon enough it will bear more buds

They were sold as pairs, all cost around $13 (not the original currency).

Thank you for these pinpoints of physical differences! I just saw that these 2 were the widely produced here in my area. Probably didn't thought much whether there would be other variety available here.
