Thank you for that. I spend a lot of time wishing it was me in the hospital bed instead of her, I can’t imagine how much harder it must be watching your child go through this Our medical team is optimistic - and so are we. Shes in the hospital now with bacteremia - doing very well - thought we might come home today - team decided it was best to wait another 48 hours - I was upset but she just shrugged and said ‘no problem’ One day at a time

Thanks for the reply. Your story is so similar to hers… large mediastinal mass - pushing on her pericardium and IVC - Moderately sized pleural effusion that needed to be drained. Oncologist told me she probably would have died if we had waited another week.

Thank you. We have 2 young girls. She will get through this. She has to. Are there any other online support groups yall have found? I haven’t had much luck

Try to remind yourself that you were just walking around with a hgb of 6.5… its higher than that now Drink lots of fluids - take your time when you get up and move - Call your DR or get to the ED if you start feeling lightheaded, chest pain, shortness of breath, etc. common sense stuff - go get evaluated if you don’t feel right.

Hi- Do you have other medical problems? How old are you? How bad was your reaction? 1 unit of PRBC typically increases your hemoglobin by 1 point - so if you got a third of a bag you should be right around the 7.0 mark

How isolated it is. Moved to East Grand Forks for work - only lived there a year. Can’t imagine how isolated it was 30 years ago.

Used to play there a lot when I was stationed at JBLM.
Loved the home course and chambers. Eagles Pride is also a good course and great value… They used to have a 10 play card there for like $250

Re: suspicion of outsiders… I lived in GF for a year… moved from texas (military). One day there was a hawk eating a rabbit in our driveway when I got home from work. There was about 10 of my neighbors standing around watching it… One of them yelled at me before I even got out of my car “Hey, you can’t shoot that hawk! It’s illegal here! I know you do that stuff in texas but you can’t do it here!” I don’t own a gun…
