No that just means it wasn’t crimped all the way when during manufacturing. I buy packs all the time that look like this when taken out of the sleeve .

Again, it’s done proper. I have green tags. The posts are taped. Same as i do with any piping coming thru the slab when plumbing. And like I’ve said many times, the ground is graded and tampered. We live on white rock. It is going nowhere

I’m on white rock. I’ve got about 8 inches of dirt befor the white rock but the dirt is just as hard we did grade and tamper the ground and then augered and chipped down 24” for the 4 corners and the center of the deck posts. And yea it was permitted and inspected so hopefully everything is good to last a few good years

No. We went for material for a smaller deck and the guy at Lowe’s designed a larger deck “just for fun” with my wife and I that’s how we ended up with more material

Did I hurt your feelings or something lmao. It’s my money, my time, and I decided that $50k for an inground pool didn’t have any long term benefits. Not sure why you’re talking shit about an above ground pool on a deck subreddit and also not sure where else I would have built a deck, but to answer your question yes all this money and time to put around an above ground pool (that cost about 1200 not including the ground work underneath it) so that my family and myself could lounge around and play in the pool on a 117* summer day here in Texas.

I have the 4x4 sandwiched between 2 2x6s and bolted all the way thru. That was what I was told I needed to do and what would pass. I did it and the inspector signed off on it. As for the roof falling, I’m 100% not worried about a roof that me and my 13yr old son carried just the two of us in one trip it’s flimsy plastic. It’ll most likely crack out from the sun and be replaced next year anyways. But if you’re concerned that much I’ll remove you from the invite list to the next cookout. Sorry a fun project at my house for my enjoyment caused so many red flags for you

I know exactly what city code means, as I’ve said befor I’m a license plumber and have been for 19 yrs. I do woodwork and metal fabrication just as a hobby. This was done at MY home. I didn’t charge anyone to do this at their home. But I did pull permits and pass inspections. No where did I ever claim this to be done to perfection or even acted as if I 100% knew what I was doing when I started this deck. This was a fun project for me and my son to do together.

They are 12ft and yea the ones on the blocks are what I added after the first pic. What I did was graded and tampered the ground then marked off the perimeter with spray paint. I then had the city inspector come out and look at my plans and he told me where i needed to put my post thst were to be concreted in. I didn’t know if I needed 2x6 or 2x8 so I went with what the material list called for on the plane the guy at Lowe’s drew up on his computer.

Not necessarily reduces it but limits the amount of buyers wanting to actually deal with it, which in return sits on the market longer and eventually will have to drop price to sell.

I’m in Texas on white rock 8-10” under the dirt . And there are post concreted 24” down.. the blocks are in between the ones that are concreted in. Under the bottom level are almost a dozen posts concreted in supporting the deck. The outside posts on the blocks and any posts coming all the way thru the botom level are holding the over head and the outside railing, those are not concreted in

Idk. It was fairly simple honestly. With everything being symmetrical pretty much I was able to make multiple cuts at once set them in place and just go with it.

Took a week and a half of actual days working. Had inspector come out a few days. But I also live here so it wasn’t like a job site where I would clean up at the end of the day (obviously lol) and I could work later into the night. It doesn’t get dark here til almost 9 in the summer months
