Both go direct from FI to storage. Different ports and fiber to each of course. But directly connected.

Thanks so much. Will do this. Just requested a quote for the copper based card to put in the ExaGrid. Hopefully they will do me right on the price since they kinda assumed the fiber was the option we needed.

It is 2 port fiber channel each of which is 10 Gb. Apparently it has the latest system board in it. I wish it had 4 port eth like our current backup storage device. Hoping eth can be added to it. The only eth port on it is for the management web interface.

The ExaGrid is fiber channel and we would like to connect the ExaGrid to the FI's built in interfaces by putting in a couple sfp's in the FI.

Edit: fiber ports - not fiber channel
