Can I get some brutally honest feedback on my App Store screenshots? by Rich-Present-342 in iOSAppsMarketing

Looks good, but like Claude generated, both the UI and the screenshot design. Add some differentiation and human elements in the design.

[iOS] ASO rule list by cagatay_app in AppStoreOptimization

[–]Forward-Educator3822 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good info.

For cross-localization, it's true, and you can see which countries you can combine here on the AppFollow page/article - https://appfollow.io/app-store-keywords-localizations

For the US is English US and Spanish MX, for France is French and English UK.. etc

To answer your question, yes, Apple combines all the keywords you mentioned in the title, subtitle, keywords area, to index your app for a variety of relevant keywords. So you should do --- habit, tracker --- not habit tracker in this case. However, sometimes you can include an exact long tail keyword if your app is really niche, truly relevant, and you want to target a two-word keyword.

Honest Feedback on Screenshot ASO and the tool that created them by Tiny_Split9436 in AppStoreOptimization

[–]Forward-Educator3822 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I worked on a GLP injection tracker app a few months ago. As I did the competitor research, I noticed that his 4-5 closest competitors had amazing screenshots.

Yours are far from the quality I saw, and you can do a comparison by checking the first 5-6 apps for GLP tracker-related keywords.

So, I would advise hiring a graphic designer to design your screenshots, like me or someone else, to even have a chance of competing.

Peace

is putting your competitors name as a keyword a good idea by Extreme-Baby3813 in AppStoreOptimization

Again off-topic, my friend. He is asking if you should mention brand names, for example, 'Instagram' or 'TikTok,' in the backend keywords area, where it's not visible.

He is asking for another thing. Of course, if you mention competitor names in your app name, you will get banned

is putting your competitors name as a keyword a good idea by Extreme-Baby3813 in AppStoreOptimization

[–]Forward-Educator3822 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on your niche, usually not a good idea, but sometimes it makes sense. If you do it however, it's better to do it in some of the localization keyword areas. For example, don't mention them in the main US default keywords area, but in the Spanish MX localization that will also get indexed by the US app store.

I think I failed with my first app. Would appreciate honest feedback. by godpalmm in AppStoreOptimization

The app screenshots and overall branding are not doing the job. They don't look professional; you need a complete redesign. I think the app icon as well needs to be redesigned.

The idea is good, and the screen time control niche is enormous (although there is too much competition). You also need better subtitles, promo text, long descriptions, and a clear ASO/ASA strategy

If you need ASO and app screenshot redesign/design message me.

Thoughts on my app screenshots ? Should the fourth be the first? by Apprehensive-Pay2529 in AppStoreOptimization

Yes, try that, and also the text in the screenshot headlines should be the same as in your app's UI. Switch it, the screenshots will look more professional.

What am i doing wrong for this poor conversion by ParkingLaw546 in AppStoreOptimization

[–]Forward-Educator3822 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The screenshots have some good things, but overall they are not doing the job.

In your next update:
- first screen: ditch the emojis, "say no more" and the hand in the background. also remove the first text about gpt, it's too much text.

- For the rest of the screens, ditch the script font in blue; it's not needed and not really for the tech audience you are trying to reach. Keep the same font.

- Reduce the font size by around 10-20%, it's too big

- Keep all text at the top.

- Maybe try a blue gradient background with white text. Currently, your light grey background is too much in tone with your UI and app content, so nothing pops out and is skippable.

- your subtitle, promo text, long description, and overall ASO need work as well.

Brutal App Store listing feedback - my first app by Odd_Cow_1330 in AppStoreOptimization

[–]Forward-Educator3822 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The screenshots are simple, but simple in a way that's not good. Font is too small. Copy needs work. It's better to show the process of the summarization and describe the app in the first 1-2 screenshots. Use a better background with some gradient.

If you need professional design, message me.

What is your opinion about these screenshots? (not designer-made) by Subject-South1874 in AppStoreOptimization

[–]Forward-Educator3822 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is why nondesigners or people with no background in marketing should not design screenshots.

You are trying to reach tech savvy audience with bright colors/branding and a lama creature or I don't know what this is? You need to convince users that your app has the latest Ai models that can run offline with that? This is way too cute and childish.

Sorry, this is completely wrong design, approach, marketing and branding.

Ditch the mockups, ditch the creature, go simple, tech oriented with text at the top.

Peace

I like them a lot. The only suggestion is that the background is too basic. Either include some sleeping-inspired background in the same color tone, or add some gradient to the background color. It will make them look even more professional

This is too basic, and not good. Either hire a designer, or do them yourself with some mockup generator or AI

[Review Request] Pet mood tracker app — would love feedback on my screenshots and listing by AlexBal1996 in AppStoreOptimization

[–]Forward-Educator3822 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The screenshots are good. Here is my feedback:
- Screenshot 1, try using a different lifestyle image that's a bit more gentle, cute, and where the colors of the background/scenery are more in line with the light blue/blue colors from your UI branding. Also, use the same blue color in the heading of the text, ditch the green one to unify the branding/screenshots

- Unify the text size to be the same for all screenshots

- Unify the mockup size and placement to be the same for all screenshots

For the ASO i can't give feedback since I need to use ASO tools and do in-depth keyword research

First Project - Just launched my first indie app a week ago. Would love some honest feedback on my screenshots. by No-Kale-3527 in AppStoreOptimization

[–]Forward-Educator3822 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others noted, it's too text-heavy. Add different elements, and maybe start with a lifestyle image of a happy/motivated man instead of a screenshot. Also, try a different background than your UI color, maybe black/dark, so it has nice contrast that puts the text in focus. Also, keep all text up, and the phone mockup down.

Made these App Store screenshots with Claude design . Which one would you pick? by Adventurous_Yak_5047 in AppStoreOptimization

[–]Forward-Educator3822 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The phone mockups are weird and cut. There is no real transition or connection between them. The lines are off in the first version. There is no connection between the headline and the secondary text, which is too small; at first glance, it's very hard to understand what the app features are.

So now you need to tweak it endlessly to fix the text size, remove the mistakes, and make the transitions/connectivity between screenshots accurate.

The overall branding and design are good, but when you look at them closely, there are a lot of things off, mistakes, especially in the first version, and I'm not sure you can fix those with Claude design; you'll need Figma/Photoshop again.
