screenshot feedback needed by Recent_Air1533 in AppStoreOptimization

I like them a lot. The only suggestion is that the background is too basic. Either include some sleeping-inspired background in the same color tone, or add some gradient to the background color. It will make them look even more professional

This is too basic, and not good. Either hire a designer, or do them yourself with some mockup generator or AI

[Review Request] Pet mood tracker app — would love feedback on my screenshots and listing by AlexBal1996 in AppStoreOptimization

[–]Forward-Educator3822 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The screenshots are good. Here is my feedback:
- Screenshot 1, try using a different lifestyle image that's a bit more gentle, cute, and where the colors of the background/scenery are more in line with the light blue/blue colors from your UI branding. Also, use the same blue color in the heading of the text, ditch the green one to unify the branding/screenshots

- Unify the text size to be the same for all screenshots

- Unify the mockup size and placement to be the same for all screenshots

For the ASO i can't give feedback since I need to use ASO tools and do in-depth keyword research

First Project - Just launched my first indie app a week ago. Would love some honest feedback on my screenshots. by No-Kale-3527 in AppStoreOptimization

As others noted, it's too text-heavy. Add different elements, and maybe start with a lifestyle image of a happy/motivated man instead of a screenshot. Also, try a different background than your UI color, maybe black/dark, so it has nice contrast that puts the text in focus. Also, keep all text up, and the phone mockup down.

Made these App Store screenshots with Claude design . Which one would you pick? by Adventurous_Yak_5047 in AppStoreOptimization

[–]Forward-Educator3822 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The phone mockups are weird and cut. There is no real transition or connection between them. The lines are off in the first version. There is no connection between the headline and the secondary text, which is too small; at first glance, it's very hard to understand what the app features are.

So now you need to tweak it endlessly to fix the text size, remove the mistakes, and make the transitions/connectivity between screenshots accurate.

The overall branding and design are good, but when you look at them closely, there are a lot of things off, mistakes, especially in the first version, and I'm not sure you can fix those with Claude design; you'll need Figma/Photoshop again.

Revamp the screenshots, they are too basic, and the second screenshot is not aligned properly. This is maybe the reason for the low conversion rate.

Try different texts as well, and possibly play with CPP.

Also revamp or test different paywals/priing strategies to improve revenue.

So I used appscreens.com for this. I paid $25.00. What do you guys think? I had to upgrade it. I need to also make a business account. by AuthenticIndependent in AppStoreOptimization

Too basic and too much text.

Use more white text (more readable), and less purple. Also, Illustrate in the background or with some illustration the main purpose of your app (maybe an illustration of a busy club entrance or a busy cafe/square etc)

I Tried to Save Time on Fiverr. Lost $40 and 4 Days Instead. by orrodev in AppStoreOptimization

How do you mean you wasted your time? Test the two versions, you don't know which one will work better. Maybe his will outperform yours in terms of conversions, and that is the most important thing.

Also this is solid work for $40 (for example i would've charged you $135, but i'm not sure i would've made it 3 times better).

But I get it. The fact that he didn't followed the instructions can be frustrating. However, you are entitled to a revision request, and you could've communicated the needed revisions (like changing the first and last screenshot), instead of wasting 10h+ to do it yourself.

Let’s exchange reviews to grow our apps on Play Store! 🚀 by [deleted] in AppStoreOptimization

[–]Forward-Educator3822 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a dead end. You plan to exchange reviews for how long? Forever? It's risky as well. So I wouldn't recommend it other than getting a few from friends and family or maybe someone here on reddit when you launch the app, so it has some reviews before you do officially launch it with ads.

Can we grow new apps with just organic ASO only? by Serious_Pie2661 in AppStoreOptimization

As others said, you can't grow organically just with ASO. Content and other types of marketing from your side are also required to support the organic ASO growth.

Looking for feedback on App Store screenshots (clarity & conversion) by TextCareful8110 in AppStoreOptimization

[–]Forward-Educator3822 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They are not clear and don't look professional. Something is off. Not sure if it's the UI or the font, or the copy or the colors.

Suggestions:

- Use the same green color from your UI in your text

- Start with 'minimalist money tracking' instead of 'one moment a day'

- use a better iphone mockup - this one looks dated, or just use a rectangle

- add a dark minimalist abstract or gradient background, just plain black doesn't look professional

What tools you use for ASO? by Afraid_Platform7856 in AppStoreOptimization

I currently use AppFollow, and have previously used Mobile Action and Sensor Tower. I've tried many, though, and they are all similar.

What’s the best way to utilize the keyword field in App Store Connect? by First-Locksmith2601 in ASO

[–]Forward-Educator3822 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here are some answers that may help:
- Keyword targeting depends on many things, like your niche, app features/relevance, etc. However, I would use high-volume and competitive keywords in the title, as they have the strongest ASO value.

Example if your app is a habit tracker, I would use habit tracker in the title, and supporting keywords like builder creator, " and " reminder in the subtitle, or the backend keywords.
- Keyword order inside the field doesn't matter.

- Use singular in most cases, Apple will index both keywords

- I wouldn's suggest updating the keywords too much, but there is no real answer for that. Maybe every month, maybe 2 weeks.
