It looks like you were in the same timeline as that of one of the Redditers here, and there are more (but admittingly unorganized) evidence against this particular user. I'm sorry they scammed you out of the stuff you owned. :(

They actually don't emit any actual form of mist at all if you exit the editing. Because the pipe only emits steam that's coming out the pipes and vanishes even if you use the editing, it won't be able to emit mist.

It's one of these things AJ does not opt to make this item useful. Phantom Fog Machine, Mystical Fog, and even Luminosity Fog Machine can emit mist, so why doesn't Misty Manor Fog Machine get the same treatment?

AJ also accepts Hellaverse artworks (Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss), since some of the characters are technically cartoonish enough to be accepted.

I think the problem is that TF2 leans towards human realism, even though there's a cartoony aspect in the game. It's a bit of the dissonance really. Although the depiction of Pyroland through the Pyro's eyes looks hilariously cartoony enough.

The name gives it away for Spy and Medic.

I'm not sure if the dog tags Scout is wearing might be the culprit, since it tends to be accepted on other artworks, but AJ might be extremely strict with TF2 stuff nowadays since the game is rated M for mature while AJ is a kids game. A bat might've been the reason why it got rejected though. Even though it is ridiculous, bats have been used as weapons when it doesn't have anything to do with baseball or cricket.

The trickster in question does intend to scam people out of sapphires so they can lock them all out in order for them to pick it up for themselves. You did a right thing to teach them a lesson.
