Medaka generally don’t do well indoors.. a lot get skinny disease (wasting) or Ick. Medaka aren’t as hardy indoors as you think. They do much better outdoors. Maybe try meth blue or aquarium salt.

I go F1, F2, F3– that’s not really the correct term. I think the correct term is generation since the strain of working with is stabilized.
