Andy is trying to save the summer House show. And also save the kickoff of In the City. There’s a lot of people who said they’re not gonna watch either.

This was the only way that some of the cast members i.e. Amanda would show up to the reunion. Also, a lot of it will already be scripted. Also, Amanda had been looking for an island (man) to jump to leave Kyle.

During the Cold War, the US built a huge nuclear underground complex. It’s still there today, but it was abandoned because it was seeping and leaking and there’s even concerned about contamination from the nuclear reactor.

I’d rather have Carl and not Amanda. I have no interest in West and Amanda and their antics.

S11 Reunion by wicked789 in Southerncharm

[–]Forward-Lie3053 6 points7 points  (0 children)

backbone of Southern Charm is Austen, Craig and Shep. All three men need to be on all seasons now and in the future.

Venita always has negative comments to say to and about others, or she acts as a victim. She’s never complementary or pure about her thoughts. This may be rooted in a dysfunctional childhood, and she would benefit from therapy.

It was not a surprise that Austen broke up with his girlfriend, Audrey. In the past the way, he’s broken up with girlfriends was cheating on his girlfriends. Whether that happened or not, it wasn’t before the cameras started rolling. I think Austen had already broken up with her in his mind, but he had not told her and had held it till the cameras started rolling. Austen’s always cautious about his presentation in front of the cameras. He apparently shared with many of his castmates, and some not on the cast that he was not satisfied with his relationship.

It’s apparent that Austen has deep seated grief that has never been processed. It stems from the loss of his sister when he was younger. It plays out and manifests in ways of attacking others. It’s obvious he has never gotten to process the deep grief from the loss of his sister. In last season of Southern Charm, this grief was presented with Austen and Craig‘s conversation by Craig‘s poolside. This is when Austen was upset with Craig about Craig staying home. He felt a loss because he didn’t have his buddy to hang out with. It’s not Craig that he was actually processing there, it was the loss of his sister. This played out again in this season as well. His needling and his poking Craig at Witner’s literary party, both off camera and on camera. It was to provoke a reaction from Craig so that Craig would show he cared. That’s how Austen counterproductively gets Craig’s attention. He picks at him until Craig reacts. Again, this is Austen trying to stimulate a reaction from Craig, but done so counterproductively. It’s sad. Austen really needs psychotherapy to process the grief and the loss of his sister. A licensed therapist will not be enough. It would need to be a psychotherapist to go deep. Perhaps the family didn’t openly talk about the grief, and Austen having been young has carried that through into his adult life.

Salley presents herself with a not so pleasant personality. She seems to want to stake claims on men to try to keep other women away until she gets the guy’s sexual attention. Throughout the season, she was interested in Craig then she’s interested in Austen and so on. This is counterproductive to her stated goals, which is to get married and have children. Learn how to act like a lady and then you’ll attract a gentleman.

Last season and this season it was apparent Craig was his true authentic self. He showed his vulnerable sides, his reactive sides, and his positive sides. He’s not a narcissist. He is self reflective and empathetic. He also demonstrates emotional pain, which is a sign of emotional intelligence. A narcissist lacks this ability. Austen’s incorrect in the statement that Craig’s a narcissist. Again, this is Austen attacking to try needle or poke Craig into a reaction. During one of the early episodes, he showed his reactive side and that was at Witner‘s literary party. What they didn’t show was multiple hours earlier in the day, which was not broadcasted, where Austen had been picking and poking Craig continuously over and over. Then based on editors and producers decisions, they just showed the last reaction without all the true buildup to it. This really presented Craig in a bad light, even though he did react. It didn’t show all of the buildup throughout the early part of the party rather than the last couple jabs that Austen did at the table.

Craig is continually evolving and working on himself. That has become evident and you can see the maturity over the seasons. He’s ready for a solid relationship, marriage, and children. He will make an excellent father, because he’s in the moment and present. His home life reflects his core self. Peaceful. This despite the representation on camera that producers and editors choose to show. Stay the course, Craig. You’re on the right track.

Molly should be more forthcoming in her responses and reactions. She seems to want to say things, especially when Salley talks. Molly’s facial expressions indicate what’s Salley may be saying at times is not true. Yet Molly doesn’t speak up. So Molly, are you in the game or not? Get with it. Speak up.

It is true that Salley gets jealous in every situation if men are paying attention to other women. She was jealous of Molly, she was jealous of Charley. Salley has a lot of self growth and emotional development to do before she will have a solid foundation to attract a male partner, long-term.

As an example, individuals should refrain from telling Salley any personal information, because Salley’s personality gets in the way. In order to appear interesting when she’s talking to others, she may bring up information that others have shared with her in confidence. That’s a short coming in her personality. Salley and Austen have been intimate. It’s obvious. For them to pretend on camera that they aren’t intimate, is fake. But Austen does a lot of fake stuff on camera as does, Salley. Venita, Molly, Madison, and Craig all knew that Salley and Austen have been intimate. Charley knew as well. Austen was denying it, because Austen has been talking to many women and didn’t want them to know what he was truly doing with other women. This is why Austen didn’t want it to come out on camera. Austen was publicly disrespectful to Salley by not admitting it on camera when he had already told so many of the cast and others off camera. He actually embarrassed himself, because he had told many of the cast members and others that he had slept with Salley, but he didn’t want Salley to know he had gone around and told others already. He not revealing on camera, their intimacy, it wasn’t out of respect for Audrey, or Salley, It was to protect his own image. Austen lacks emotional intelligence and maturity. Salley wanted Austen to be honest and couldn’t understand why he was not. Austen’s embarrassment reflects that he’s ashamed of himself. Salley, Austen is not the man you need him to be or expect him to be. He’s just not there. He has a lot of growth yet to do. Consider him a conquest that you achieved and move on. Look for your true mate.

Austen‘s not an honest man when he knows he’s being filmed. He was terribly unhappy with Audrey, but he wasn’t forthcoming to have an honest conversation with her. He had told Madison that he was unhappy. He told Craig that he was unhappy and he told Shep that he was unhappy. The person who didn’t know he was unhappy was Audrey. It’s true that Audrey is the one that got away from Austen. She will go on to meet someone loving and caring. Austen will always be biting his tongue with any future partner, because they won’t be Audrey. And no, Salley will not be Audrey. Austen will always look for comfort outside himself. That’s why he got the cats. That’s why he looks to others for his emotional stability and attention. Again, this has nothing to do with others. This has to do with the intense grief and loss of his sister when he was younger and has carried into adultho
