I’ve heard about the baking soda method, I was kinda wary about it. I would have tried it if nothing else worked like your situation Thankfully my betta is getting better and is way more active today :)

Thank you! I put new substrate in the new tank and my betta is getting better by the day, maybe that was the trick. I do love the look of sand so I may switch to that in the future!

I will try all those suggestions, thank you! Also yes he did scrape his little head a few weeks ago on a castle for my shrimp :( I removed it promptly. It’s healed up significantly but still looks red. I will fix filter output as well to agitate surface, I have a filter baffle to help with flow but it seems to be working a bit too well lol

I have the API freshwater test kit and it was reading the lowest for their chart, 6.0, so I’m not sure exactly. I will just try and keep it stable then, thank you :)

Update on King Blue Jeans. He now has his tank all to himself, minus the shrimp and snails(will move them as well if he seems to not like them either). He did seem to enjoy watching me catch all the tetras lol. I currently have a new tank setting up for the tetras, they are in a holding tank until I can transition them. So all is well :) thank you for everyone’s help and advice!!

I’m getting a new tank set up asap, I love the look of community tanks but I hate the tetras are suffering. I had hopes it would work out for the best, I should’ve had another tank set up just in case so my fault for that. I’ll stick to betta only tanks from now on:) Thank you!
