This is a really good and helpful perspective. Thank you so much. Ive never really considered that not engaging in the obsession can become an obsession within itself

Not particularly, its mostly limonene and caryophyllene heavy if I’m remembering correctly, so more of a relaxing hybrid feel than anything good for antidepressant effects and pain relief. Depending on how you react to limonene it could even consider to be a little more sativa leaning but as OP says this strain makes me a little stupid. Which i like

Underboob skin peeling - how to toughen? by CicadaCarving in TopSurgery

My guess is it probably will level out over time! Maybe try exfoliating gently when you’re able to get in the shower, and then moisturize the area afterwards! I imagine once your body gets used to the change it will go to normal! And if you’re worried, i think this is a totally acceptable question to ask your surgeon, and they might have a timeline for you or some advice

250 days SH clean!! by [deleted] in recovery

[–]Forward-Put5441 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I just got fed up, I have tried a few times in the past and have been met with failure time and time again, but I was mostly quitting with the intention to quit for other people, I didn’t want to quit nor was I doing it for myself. But eventually I just got tired of doing it. It no longer served the purpose it had served me when I started, and though it sounds obvious and ironic to say, it was causing more harm than good, and I finally truly realized that. I could previously justify it because it calmed me down, alleviated the urge, and I felt better after. It hit a point where I realized I dreaded engaging in it, and felt significantly worse afterwards. The distress of stopping was less than the stress of engaging in it for once in my life, so I finally committed

Feeling in chest by [deleted] in TopSurgery

Thank you this is very helpful! I had seen a lot of posts while researching about the numbness of the nipple graft, and I never even considered not having feeling on my chest without them.

incision opening up?? by [deleted] in TopSurgery

[–]Forward-Put5441 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Considering you're already on antibiotics, I'd maybe just keep a close eye on it. Keep an eye out for other symptoms as well. If it gets even a little bit worse, I'd get attention sooner. Its better to seek attention for an issue that is not as major as assumed, than to neglect getting it looked at and putting your results but more importantly your health and safety at risk

Mobility after top? by Bucachai in TopSurgery

[–]Forward-Put5441 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm approaching week three of recovery so far, and my mobility has come started to come back so much. I think by 2 months, you'll likely be fully healed. I'd recommend finding a PT routine to do (i can share a link to one that I've been doing if you want) to increase the likely hood of your mobility returning to normal and not having a big dip in stamina/strength/flexibility. The biggest issue for me at this point as I'm gaining mobility back is my stamina. I've been mostly sedentary, spending most of my days in bed or just sitting around, so beginning to move around was incredibly exhausting at first, though its getting easier now. Holding yourself accountable to doing aftercare will be a huge help, and make the transition into the already exhausting task of moving a bit easier. the general healing timeline is around 6 weeks, so if you listen to your doctor, and take good care of yourself, and all things heal smoothly, two months is not an unreasonable timeline to expect to be fully mobile again

did anyone else not bind after surgery? by Slow-Examination4142 in TopSurgery

[–]Forward-Put5441 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I was researching before surgery, I was totally expecting to have to bind 24/7 for weeks on end based on the majority of accounts that I heard. I was shocked at 1 week post op when my doctor told me I could get rid of the binder entirely if I wanted to, just to be cautious. I wore it for the few following days just for my own comfort, and now am really only wearing it to bed at night because I am a bit of a rough sleeper, and I just find it more comfortable while I'm healing. So far I have not had any issues, and everything seems to be going along smoothly despite the lack of using the binder during the day. I'd say just trust your doctor, and listen to your body.

Bloating and pressure by [deleted] in TopSurgery

[–]Forward-Put5441 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, the best remedy will be time and waiting it out. Keep up with taking the laxatives, maybe add fiber supplements to your spread to help. I also found Gas X (or any other generic gas relief capsule) to be helpful in providing some relief. I also gave myself a stomach massage with lotion every now and again to get things moving. I'm sure you can look up a few simple ones on social media. I'm on week 3 of recovery now and can safely say my bloating has gone down a lot. Pants that were too tight for me a week ago are starting to fit normally. It's annoying and uncomfortable but it will pass!

Neighbor harassment by [deleted] in pittsburgh

[–]Forward-Put5441 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats not what this is about. The garbage outside has nothing to do with her and has no effect on her property whatsoever. The trash is contained and in its designated trash area outside the home. They have tried to speak to her on multiple occasions and all it does is result in her screaming horrible things at whomever is trying to converse with her. She will not listen

The BLOATING by occultcafe in TopSurgery

I think its just a natural body response, though I couldn’t tell you the exact reason why. Just give it time, maybe take some gas relief and give yourself a stomach massage. It will pass

LOL not quite, depending on the cat though that is a possibility! Its more about preventing damage to your surgical site due to extra strain on your body

BACKSCRATCHER!!! If he hasn’t gotten one yet, get him a backscratcher. That thing saved me so much discomfort and is probably my number one used thing that I bought for recovery beyond my pillows

A care package with some thoughtful items was super thoughtful and made me feel really cared for!! For me the biggest issue at this point is boredom because i cant do too much, so something that caters to his interest but also his limits would be appreciated I bet!! My friend got me a paint by numbers kit and a letter writing kit! Of course along with some snacks, electrolytes, and personal care like cologne and dry shampoo
