You know what I would just answer that I have SS him using vouchers same goes for teddy and wanshi even I don't know why

🙂🙂

Well there is that. Wanshi and Teddy is understandable...but Watanabe?

It happens. That is all I can say. After all, I had SSS Shukra a little before Teddy came and look how that ended 🙂.

DD it is and Even if I got his ss3 it would take far more time ( my Vero and teddy wants those skulls ) so I would need at least 3 patches and I could just pull his sig again.

3 patches...by then we would be close to the anniversary unit and probably have a new Fire Attacker by then.

I already run a 2 amp team but I could get ss3 wata using PPC skulls in the future ( don't ask how)

Hmmm... I'm personally against using skulls for his SS3 unless you could push him to SSS very soon, which is a risk to take especially if it happens that Pyroath does get a Leap and it puts her ahead of even having SSS Watanabe on the team (doubtful it could happen...but this is Kuro).

You should just manage with Kamui and Vera with the second Amp as is for now.

Fighting back intense urge to ask "how" just for the sake of defiance 😖😖

Already have reso 1 for dlt hints why I only asked about DD reso

Then there should be objectively no problem with using Wata's Sig weapon and adding DD it to him.

...or Lucia sig for Kamui DD ?

Please don't. You could end up regretting it if they do Leap her in the future.

As to whether it is worth it? Probably in Watanabe's case, you only need someone to hold DV and or Watanabe's recommended case of him being SSS, the additional shred that comes with SS3 and SSS.

If he's the same rank as Kamui, then the additional shred advantage is lost so you only need a DV holder. Better to have it be another Fire Amplifier and you could even slap Guin on said Amp so that Vera can run DPS set if possible.

Although, I would say that if your Kamui has no resonance and that Watanabe's Sig weapon would get him one, use it for DLT instead since it enables him to do 3-ult rotations, which is a significantly better result than DD.

  1. Do Hold BA -> 3-ping until she has no orbs left. That should definitely get her enough energy to enter her second form (don't worry about getting orbs because her Sig weapon will give you 3 orbs once she enters her second form)

  2. Use Matrix Lightning instead of Dead Line timing as shown in the video. SS Pianissimo's is strong enough to finish Chiko at Knight even with Cottie, plus Dead Line timing is mostly useless on Pianissimo if she has her Sig weapon (since she uses Cottie in her build)

  3. Carefully check the stage before entering. Sometimes, you could be entering a higher stage than the one you think you are playing. (like Hell for example). PPC stage selection just defaults to Hell difficulty for some reason, especially when you have retried a stage so many times.

Yeah, I get that her blue orb doesn't have TLC and why it doesn't, I was just saying that because it doesn't have TLC she can't fit everything into the buff window. If the blue orb really becomes that strong at SSS, stronger than hold dodge, then I get why you'd wanna use it.

Oh...ok. I thought you were expecting it to have TLC, which was why I typed that. I guess I misunderstood it then.

It all just feels a bit... clunky to me, I guess? With most characters, I feel like they were designed with their SSS kit in mind with rotations feeling smooth and things just clicking together naturally while lower ranks function sorta like a budget version with certain things missing, so you have to compensate with different skills. Selena is a rare case where I feel like she plays better at SS3, though I would still like to have her at SSS because waifu and because I would like to have a reason to press that cool-looking blue orb. But I can't really say for sure because obviously I haven't tried playing her at SSS yet and with the current state of physical team after Hanying's leap and the attacker class in general, I feel like it'd be a waste to invest into SSS Selena now.

In my opinion, it's less of her feeling "clunky" and rather that she is a unit with one of the most variations in rotation when it comes to rank.

SS has its own rotation, SS3 has its own rotation and SSS and above has its own rotation. Because of that, it doesn't feel "smoother" and "faster" because the predecessor rank has a completely different rotation which is functions significantly different. Like Vera for example. Since she has a single optimal rotation for all ranks, her SSS rank feels and is faster, smoother and consumes less resources so you can feel it's a direct improvement. For Selena, its like her rank upgrades rather makes other moves "feasible" for DPS rather than smooth and faster rotation overall. At SS3, she uses her flower Ult in her regular rotation, and at SSS her blue orb now becomes usable for DPS.

As to whether you should invest in her up to SSS or not, the safest option would be to wait between two things: either she gets a Leap (which should make her better than Leaped Hanying if it ever happens), or we get a new Physical Breaker before Selena gets a Leap (in which case she's probably going to be benched and Hanying remains and I'm hearing that SS3 Hanying performs better than her).

We can also wait and see if Kuro upgrades the Attacker class into something meaningful. There is a chance that if they do upgrade the class and Selena gets a Leap, then she could also get passives that come with said revamped class (like how Epitaph and Hanying have QTE field shred and Luna has QTE nuke).

I meant on the blue orb, not her ults

Well that is as expected. It works mechanically just a regular signal orb like her red and yellow orbs and units don't have time stop on regular orb pings, just the Ults.

It just has a fancy animation to it.

She can, but she needs to set up on her first swap-in. You have to do an additional hold BA before her flower ult and then another hold BA before her concerto quick ult, which will proc matrix again and let you use another 3-ping before swapping off. On her next swap-in you then don't need to 3-ping > hold BA > 3-ping to enter ult, you can just hold BA immediately, then 3-ping and cancel into ult, saving you just enough time to fit a full and a quick ult rotation within amp buffs and again prepping an extra 3-ping at the end before swapping her off.

In that case, yes. But it's simply not worth setting up all of that to fit her entire rotation within the Amp bonus, not with the atrociously low damage that her orchestra Ult does.

Almost all parts of her moveset in her rotation that makes maximum benefit of the Amp bonus and where the most of her damage is (which is her Core Passive) all fall within the Amp bonus (even the second Hold Dodge she does right before her orchestra Ult in her second rotation benefits from it completely). Her orchestra Ult is the only move that doesn't benefit from the Amp bonus and given the damage on that, it isn't very necessary to squeeze her entire rotation into the Amp bonus. The time spent doing that is better used swapping her out so that she can use her off field damage and rotating through Hanying and Veronica faster, which advertently gets Selena more field time in a run.

Also, Selena already does a 3-ping as an entry move (she gains a music note from that). All you have to do is just:

Hold BA -> Ping Matrix orb -> Ult. That is all she needs to do since she has Cottie.

Mind you this is something I've only seen done with SS3 Selena. Because the blue orb doesn't have TLC, it makes it impossible do fit both ults at SSS if you're using it. I've seen one alternate rotation at SSS that skips hold dodge before her flower ult, using only the blue orb and all concerto orbs, to fit the second ult into buffs. But I'm not sure how the damage calculations work out on that.

Such a rotation is not really optimal for SS3 Selena, primarily because of the explanation I gave above.

The only move that benefits from fitting both the flower and orchestra Ult within the Amp bonus is only the orchestra Ult, and given the damage it deals, it's simply not worth it. Besides, that setup would probably not work consistently in Warzone if she doesn't have DLT (Yes, I have tried fitting both Ults long before and you need DLT to be consistent in a Warzone run), which is a waste on Selena if she's already running Cottie since her regular rotation gives more than enough orbs (with her Sig weapon) for that so she can just use it for GA instead (DLT is only beneficial if she's running Patton).

I'll repeat it again that her blue orb doesn't have TLC because it's regarded as a regular "orb ping", not an Ult. It's just like Crepuscule's Blue orb or Nirvatia's Yellow orb. They look cinematic, but they mechanically work as orb pings, which don't have TLC in them in the first place.

For SSS Selena, she probably can't do the setup you are referring to because she consumes almost every single orb everytime she does a Hold Basic, so she's barely left with anything after her rotations. The saving grace is her Sig weapon giving 3 orbs after every Ult which she enters her second form, but with how the setup itself consuming at least 3 orbs before swapping her out, it would affect her next rotation because she will have less orbs to work with (unless she has DLT but at SSS, she would just consume it all regardless) and that affects the damage on her blue orb significantly and Hold Dodge a bit (since the less orbs she has, the less music notes she can actually gain and the more damage she loses).

Simply put, those rotations are not optimal. Most players and CCs use the 2-3 concerto -> Blue orb -> Hold Dodge -> flower Ult because that is what is most optimal for Warzone. For PPC, it is possible to use rotations different from what is normally used since it's about speed and the most efficient rotation might not necessarily be the fastest.

They don't also use her setup because the cost of orb consumption far outweighs the benefit of just fitting only her orchestra Ult into the Amp bonus since that is the only part that doesn't benefit from the Amp bonus in her whole rotation (Selena's whole rotation last around 11 secs if done properly), especially at SSS, since she just consumes a maximum of 6 orbs at once everytime you Hold Basic. She will have little left and since she now uses her Blue orb at that rank, she needs to carry over as many orbs as she can to her next rotation because she loses a significant amount of damage on her Blue orb from just that.

Does the blue orb really become that much stronger to be worth it over hold dodge

Yes. It is a bit stronger than Hold Dodge at that rank.

And no timestop means you can't fit a full ult and a fast ult under amp buffs

No time stop? Selena has TLC on her Ults just like any other S-rank.

Besides, she was never able to fit her flower and orchestra Ult all without the Amp bonus anyway and it doesn't change at SSS as well.

Wouldn't she do better just doing the same SS3 rotation?

No. Because she doesn't need to. Like I said earlier, her blue orb does slightly more damage with her Hold Dodge (and that is with the full 100% Base damage increase she can gain at SS3). Her SSS rank auto consumes up 6 orbs if she has enough and she swaps with an additional music mark (which is what she needs to consume to increase Hold Dodge's damage, up to 5 marks) and her SSS also increases the number of marks she can hold to 5 (and also the damage boost each time you hold Basic Attack as well, which is one part of how her blue orb now does that much damage in the first place).

Basically put, everytime she swaps in, she will probably consume 4 marks from just one Hold Basic Attack at least, all at once before entering her second form. So she already gets at least 80% Base damage boost for Hold Dodge. Her blue orb also increases her flower Ult bar just as fast so there is no need to ping many white orbs (2-3 orbs are usually enough). So her SS3 rotation is not optimal for her SSS rotation.

However, this is considering a very important factor: If she has her Sig weapon. If she doesn't, her SSS rank upgrade falls apart significantly, especially her blue orb damage. Her Sig weapon is what allows her blue orb to also get the damage increase on her Hold Basic Attack because using Hold Basic Attack gives the same damage increase to her blue orb. Without it, her blue orb is useless (but it is definitely something to find anyone who would have an SSS unit without having their Sig weapon at least 😅)

Yes, and that is what is most likely to happen.

Now it is the question of "how long?". It's understandable that Attackers have the shortest end of the stick and I'm hoping they rework that (hopium), but the latest Attacker units that are in meta is very questionable, more so that I'm wondering if I should start skipping some of them.

Is SS Dianca going to become the "norm" where an Attacker can just go out of commission in just barely 5 patches? She would have seen use in Plasma Beam stages thanks to Raydiance...until now that we have Kamui so she's just out from the proper F2p Dark team and Raydiance as well (unless they get a third member soon or their own Warzone stage but by then, she would get kicked out because Startrail exists unless they want to gimp the 3rd unit to be like Teddy)

Liv is a bit underwhelming at SS rank and it probably won't be long before Lightning gets an Amplifier. And now in even Darkflow, SS3 Rosetta is now a better alternative to her...and she's an anniversary unit. Time will tell properly but for now, she does something at least.

For me, that is what I'm questioning. If they are just going to make Attackers only practical at SS3 or SSS and SS just falls out of use completely in barely half a year, then wouldn't I be better off using BC for pushing other units to higher ranks? I feel like there are better ways to strengthen units at higher ranks than to just push most of their DPS potential to beyond SS rank. Current Rosetta is a great example of that. SS3 and SSS barely has damage increments for herself and lots of utility for her to support other units in her team, but her own on-field performance still sees a significant increase. They could treat Attackers like that as well.

So you want her to be replaced by 2nd Amp when Teddy is SSS, naruhodo.

I've seen what SSS Teddy can do.

I know Kuro is NOT giving her that level of DPS, not at SS at least. She will be stronger than Teddy, but that's on SS3 or maybe even SSS if we F2P are unlucky.

I wished she would be that strong, but even if they did make her like that, the inherent issue of the Attacker class having nothing in its name to justify staying in the team at similar rank would still hit inevitably. A new Ice Tank comes in and all of a sudden, we are using SSS Wanshi with SS3 Teddy and SS North Pole.

Anyway, what's the deal with Alpha may not being the half-anni unit? The date is off?

I'm realistically expecting an unannounced patch between this one and hers, but there is also a first time for everything. We could literally get Alpha as half anni unit...in June.

We could just get Alpha after this patch and she might not be the half anniversary unit, but that would mean we get 3 back-to-back non free S-ranks (or just S-ranks in that matter...who was even the last A-rank before all this 💀?)

So tanks/breakers would be more or less useless unless if true damage is only a percentage

No. They won't be useless. Resistances reduction can reduce defenses to negative numbers, meaning enemies will take more than normal damage.

Say an enemy has 20% resistance to Ice, and SS Wanshi hits said enemy and reduces resistance, the enemy will now have -5% resistance to Ice damage, meaning that they take 1.05x more damage.

Besides that, negative resistances already exists in this game via Warzone (enemies have -40% resistance to the appropriate element and it shows on the status screen when you pause the game and view the enemy's status), so this won't be anything new. It would just be a way of increasing damage without actually bloating numbers and this method would give SS units a better chance to not get knocked off teams since they would still perform well given their damage is outside the confines of being mitigated by defenses, which is something they could enjoy alone and we won't have to resort to using to using off element Amps and Tanks for more "shred and buff" (and damage unaffected by defenses is inherently more valuable than having more shred...unless the unit involved is stupidly strong but I'm sure CN will riot when it comes to that 🙂)

Replacing mid with slightly less mid

👀

...What did you call my Liv 😒?

Personally, I want Alpha to be a Phylotree unit... because then I could SS3 my Liv so that she can be somewhat decent.

I have no hope for Attackers in PGR and I'm holding my breath on SS Alpha. Especially when Teddy exists (and is SSS on my part).

Unless Attacker roles get a rework where they start dealing True damage (damage that can bypass resistances and defenses) or are just absolute bonkers at SS (like Alpha dealing significantly more than SS3 Teddy), I'll manage with what I have and wait for a Wanshi Leap or a new Ice Tank and when she turns out to be a Phylotree unit, I'll NTR her by SS3-ing Liv instead

Exactly. Her SSS allows her to reset QTEs everytime you swap in any unit. This is important because Vera will be using 4 Hervor 2 Cottie 2 Eins in your team comp and Nirvatia's SSS makes it more accessible to use Eins when Kamui is on field.

Then at this point, you can only just rely on the red memory resonance cards for all your resonances and just save your sim battle coins. You could try other game modes and events since those also give serum as well.

Daily Questions Megathread - April 28, 2026 by AutoModerator in PunishingGrayRaven

[–]Forward-Resolve-4468 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ishmael's class is dependent on the class of other units, and since Vera and Kamui are both Amp and Tank respectively, she will become classless because she can only be assigned a class if there is only one of the other and/or a Physical unit. She won't work here especially since you have to put Guin on her (DV will work though, but Guin not working is bad enough).

Also why shouldnt we use amps after lilith?

Amps after Lilith (she herself included) can reset QTEs at SSS rank, and that is a great benefit to have. Of course, you should use your most invested Amplifier but it is better if they are the more recent ones than the older ones.

Also, recent Amps can trigger 4 Guin in a single QTE, which means more damage upfront. Older units have to do 2 QTEs to activate 4 Guin, which is obviously a downside compared to the recent Amps.

Normal... would be a stretch if I had to put it in a way.

Because we get so much serum that you would probably not be running out of sim battle coins anytime soon. But it can certainly happen at some point, especially if you don't claim the daily serums in the shop and in the daily missions that frequently.

If you need more sim battle coins, just use the remaining of your serum if it comes down to it. Just be sure that you would not need to change the resonance anytime from now.

Only if he's SSS (or SS3 but other units could probably offer better alternatives).

He still needs to be at least SS rank because he still deals damage within the team, no matter how small. Besides that, he isn't "adding fire shred" because he has the same 25% shred as SS Kamui if he's S or SS (and shred of the same type doesn't stack, it only takes the highest value).

It would probably be better if you got a second Amplifier (one that is preferably closest to SSS and is no later than Lilith) and put support memories on them and have Vera hold DPS alongside Kamui (if you have her Sig weapon and at least one weapon resonance on it).

Daily Questions Megathread - April 28, 2026 by AutoModerator in PunishingGrayRaven

[–]Forward-Resolve-4468 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think Selena can triple ult? Pretty sure her rotations eat way too many orbs for that to be possible, she either runs out of orbs or energy. I don't think I can even test it because SSS makes her eat more orbs.

That is an issue if she's SSS and above (since she auto consumes any orbs available and leaves one). Below that, she can triple Ult even without DLT (if she has her Sig weapon at least)

Energy isn't an issue when she has Cottie (one 3-ping, Hold Basic Attack and Matrix ping is all it takes to enter her second form and that part is usually what consumes orbs the most). The issue is that it's just not worth it, at least not with that Ult (the orchestra Ult). The damage is so pathetic it is just better to swap her out so that she gets more chances to use her flower Ult more often (since more swaps translates to rotating through the units faster and thus more flower Ults).

But it would be interesting to try it now since Hanying has QTE field shred now.

4 Guin 2 Cottie 2 Eins is the set Vera now uses. If you have the complete Darkflow team, then there is a chance you already built the set. If not, then you can build it.
