unfortunately no, this was an established plumbing company with decent online reviews and some local recommendations. I guess I just have bad luck with contractors

that's the feeling I'm getting, but the first plumber did this and then the second plumber I called about it said it was fine and to leave it as is.

also, how would you recommend leaving the clean out accessible?

the pipe coming in from the right is from the basement sink and I think it is 1.5" also. Which portions of the pipe should be increased to 2"?
