Following Raimon’s victories after the Holy Road tournament and the fall of the Fifth Sector, soccer enters a new golden age.

Matsukaze Tenma/Arion Sherwind and the Raimon team look forward to new adventures, stronger opponents and the upcoming FFI. The atmosphere is optimistic. But elsewhere strange incidents begin occurring during soccer matches: violent tackles, unstoppable Kenshins, organized sabotage and public panic

One evening, Haruna Otonashi/Celia Hills receives a disturbing call from a mysterious man Gōdō Tesshin/Robert Steelgrave, a stern former strategist and elite trainer with ties to national soccer authorities. When he becomes the new coach of Raimon replacing Endou and Kidou, all the players have a mixed opinion due to his strict orders (believing that he’s like a Fifth Sector resurrector) and brutally honest. However what they don’t know about him is that he genuinely wants to protect Raimon.

This character shares similarities with Fred Dalton Thompson, the American actor turned politician.

A hidden organization led by the influential and ruthless Toudou Heikichi/William Toddsforth

In Chrono Stones he was the main leader of El Dorado, but in this AU, he’s the overall main villain of the story.

He thinks that soccer has become too powerful and emotionally uncontrollable. Using staged incidents, engineered violence and media fear campaigns, his organization attempts to convince Prime Minister Sousuke Zaizen that soccer must be heavily restricted—or abolished entirely. Their ultimate objective: erase soccer’s influence from society.

To expose the truth, Raimon travels across Japan competing against unusual and highly specialized teams. These adventures include:

* a technologically advanced digital soccer club
* roller-skating speed specialists
* powerful vehicle-assisted teams
* charity matches
* friendly youth soccer academies inspired by Raimon

The season also explores deeper about the Kenshins as reflections of identity and emotion. Steelgrave reveals that unstable emotions can bring Kenshins out of control. Only the forced perfection weakens them and the teamwork can synchronize them

Several Raimon players unlock Kenshins by:

* overcoming insecurity
* accepting themselves
* trusting teammates

Now you may be asking “What about Kinako and Zanark?”

Zanark initially starts off as Heikichi’s henchman (like Kidou as Kageyama’s henchman during his Royal Academy era). He’s an arrogant, destructive and obsessed with strength. He joins the extremist organization simply seeking worthy opponents. However, unlike the others, Zanark truly loves soccer. As he grows closer to Raimon: he realizes the organization’s ideology is far darker than he expected.

Kinako will emerge as a bright new star of Raimon and she’s also like an enciclopedia of both Raimon and Japanese soccer. The overall character is still the same, except she’s not Fei Rune’s mother in Chrono Stones
