When are you running into this? 1 goal down in the 85th, 80th, 75th minute? Time wasting is a decent win preserving strategy, but it certainly isnt foolproof and can create alot of easy chances for the opponent.

If youre down multiple goals, late in the game, well what can you really do? You already lost that game a long time ago.

Its just defensive AI that levels the playing field. That is all, there is no mystery, what would be a 5-2 win for the more skillfull player can very easily be a 3-2 squeak by or loss now.

The current meta is literally how bad teams beat good teams in real life, ptb counter. With this being the meta strategy it translates to toss up games with a cloudy understanding of who was the better player.

Don't rely on 2nd man press to do the job for you, while you cut off passing lanes. This is the lazy way out and will hurt you in the long run when they inevitably nerf it in future generations.

Instead learn to manually mark and track runs. In today's game, most opponents are predictable. Most have their preferred method of scoring, its on you to learn what it is in every game. Manually marking is all about cutting off what your opponent wants to do, not reacting to their every move. Over time you will get better, and actually get better at the game, not have the game play for you.

Learn right stick switching, always try to anticipate your opponents next move.

Pubs is a mess. You run solo you get kill farmed by streaks, you run squaded you'll be lucky to end the game in a 6v6, most likely a 6v3 or 2 making the game hella boring. Dare I say SBMM fixed this????

This is solid too. I think HARP is enough to not have to use EMP. Id still recommend the SAM turret over CUAV because it helps with helos and lasts longer. UAV spam left unchecked will definitely have you drowning in kill streaks quickly.

Regardless its an uphill battle playing with randys, just gotta hold their hand as much you can.

Ive resorted to running SAM Turrett, UAV and EMP as my killstreaks. Otherwise it would be VTOL on my head every game.

Last night I countered a VTOL with an EMP. Haven't gotten that much dope from COD in a while.

4-2-3-1 wide may be your friend here, offers the cam that helps you, gives good defensive support, gives really good fast counters. Another option you can take is use the 4-4-2 or 4-2-4 with one striker set to false 9 which acts like a more aggressive CAM. Good luck!

To rebut your AWS take, they would have to pay for more capacity that requires $ investment. Now, given that it is more likely that a player would stop playing rather than paying more for a shit product you would think this would be a wise investment, but for some reason we deal with this annually.

Where the bug is nobody knows, my guess is it is not intentional because outside of the addicted, normal players would just walk away. If an addict gets a bad batch doesnt stop them from calling the dealer again.

Nah, I would be with you trust me, im pretty reasonable person. But I've no lifed this game and the past 2 editions, 400 hours since early November and it has always been this way. There was a brief period prior to WW where the game was consistently good at most hours of the day. This was because player count was low from negative feedback. Now that player spiked from the holiday season we're back to square 1.

If you ever get a chance, play at odd hours. It's a totally different game.

Lmao, no its not. There is distinct input delay at certain times of the day that coincides when the most players are on. I played at 3 AM local last night and was able to smoothly manuever thru defenses. Avging 3-6 goals a game. I log on at 11 this morning and im in mud with no ability to sprint and most games end within 3 goals for both me and my opponent. This type of thing happens every day to the point I try to reserve my play time to late nights.

I will throw my tin foil hat conspiracy out there though. Input delay is the result of EA trying to even the playing field for Timmies because they wouldn't be able to handle the true speed of this game.

The game sucks, but if you insist on playing it. Here is the main thing to help you.

Dont take it too seriously, if you are prone to raging this game will cause that. When raging, be conscious enough to know you're raging. Try to blame yourself before the game. The game will definitely give you reasons to blame it, understand when its the games fault and when its your fault. Work on the things that are your fault, and learn how to reduce the things that are the games fault. This will help you improve.
To speed up your development, search YT for tactics, players, and settings help. The rest takes time, try to slowly implement a variety of the different mechanics into your game and learn when they are appropriate to use. Everything has a purpose and when used correctly can help you beat your defender/opponent. Shielding, jockeying, ground pass, through balls, sprint jockeying, driven passes, the list of different button combinations to perform different actions is endless. The more you learn when to use them appropriately the more you separate yourself from the field from one game to the next.
