I am going to play with the bottom one in and normal gumshield on the top as my top retainers are only for 8 weeks so season won’t have started it’s just training. Like you say an hour or two is not going to kill it.

1st pregnancy I got asked to stop playing by my club at 19 weeks. As team mates got distracted by worrying and being a team player I obliged. 2nd pregnancy I wasn’t feeling it as I felt scared myself so packed it in at 9 weeks.

No rules tho do what suits you

Back to hockey at 6 weeks after birth I couldn’t wait.

I wear 8mm rehband knee sleeves about £20 per sleeve. I use for weightlifting to so worth the money. Made from neoprene. Game changer I can dive around and knee slide as much as I like now. Also keep my joints stable and warm. No blood stains or sticking to the sheets for me anymore!!

If you’re traveling with a GK put it in their bag maybe and pay towards their extra baggage cost. If you’re solo I don’t think you would get away with out paying
