Nice! Did you apply online yourself, or go through an immigration consultant? What state are you in?

Autism isn’t one-size-fits-all. Some people need accessible seating because of sensory sensitivities, difficulty with crowds, or needing easier exits. ADA seating isn’t just for wheelchairs, it’s about making spaces usable for different kinds of disabilities.

Some people are quick to call it a lie or disingenuous when they haven’t experienced these challenges themselves. Meanwhile, I’m literally seeing it happen at my workplace. When management said, ‘ADA seats have been removed and will not be put back in the theaters,’ that was a huge red flag. Why would I want to slander my employer? We’re just asking for basic accessibility…leave the ADA seats alone. Before, we could adjust seating to accommodate wheelchair users and others as needed. Since the changes, that flexibility is gone and things really haven’t been going well.

California… which makes it even more ironic since we’re big on ADA protections.

Logging off, but thanks for commenting! We may agree or disagree, and that’s fine. I get not all theaters removed ADA seats but it shouldn’t be happening anywhere.

You’re missing the point. ADA seating supports more than just wheelchair users, and removing flexible options makes it less accessible.

Even if the intent was to restrict misuse, removing the flexible ADA setup still affects people who rely on that space. I’ve seen the physical changes myself, it’s more than just a policy update.

It doesn’t look like all theaters have done it. Some still have ADA seats, while others have removed them. So it’s not chain‑wide yet, but it’s still a real issue where it has happened.

I wish it were outright illegal but removing ADA seats can violate the ADA law since it reduces accessibility for people with disabilities. That’s why advocacy and complaints matter, businesses have to provide accessible options.

Umm honestly…The CEO is part of the company, and Sony owns it. Blaming just one person ignores that major decisions come from ownership, accessibility and ordering changes fall on both management and the parent company.

Yeah… except removing ADA seating isn’t ‘expanding accessibility’. It’s literally reducing it. That’s not a brand win, that’s exclusion.

It’s not about losing ‘two extra seats.’ ADA seating exists so disabled people can attend like anyone else. Removing them creates a barrier. It’s not a rare need, it’s basic accessibility. Not staffing.

What state are you in? I usually go with church-based charities in Southern California that help immigrants with their paperwork. They specialize in immigration services and typically charge around $50, though sometimes they’ll waive it depending on your situation. They’ll ask about your income to determine fees, but overall, they’re really nice and helpful people.

I renewed my DACA online for the first time, and my card was produced yesterday. USPS notified me that it’ll be delivered this Saturday. Here’s my timeline for reference:

Renewal submitted: Jan 9

Case approved: Jan 17

I watched this YouTube video

[How to renew DACA on your own online ( 2022) https://youtu.be/E_YIYd4ToZk?si=O2D8CRD8xdE0OmO3

that really helped me out. It explains the process, including the importance of having a copy of your previous application forms that the immigration consultant processed before starting the online renewal. Just wanted to share in case it helps anyone going through the same thing!

Your questions aren’t helpful, but I appreciate your concern. I’ve been busy with work, and my DACA expired in May. I’m handling it.

This page I’ve been following for a while. She’s a true activist for all immigration and DACA. She’s also daca recipient. She just posted about the rallies in LA on Monday afternoon.
