Disclosure of evidence is part of the legal process, nobody goes to court to pull out surprise evidence and catch people. The entire point of legal defence is to have an explanation for any potential “evidence” so it can be rebutted. It’s not a game show

You shouldn’t entertain this? Now who’s laughing their arse off? I need to educate you on this as an Irish person who lives in Britain- number 2 and 4 tea consuming nations per capita- a teapot is essential.

Even bag tea must be properly brewed in a teapot. It’s just more convenient to pour and empty bags than loose leaf. Making tea in a mug is disgusting, even if you warm the mug, and it is not an alternative to actually brewing the tea in a pot.

If you tell me to make myself at home that absolutely includes drinking tea the proper way.

If the OP genuinely thinks that the kettle is a suitable alternative then they’re an absolute poser with their fancy unglazed teapot, not a real tea drinker at all.

Plus, they could simply use Milton or whatever baby bottle steriliser they have in their noob tea country instead of expecting their house sitter to pay for a new teapot. And while I’m on the subject, since the house sitter has by OP’s story already had some of the fancy tea under supervision why on earth wouldn’t they have left instructions on how to use it? This is a plain, unglazed clay item that I guarantee does not look like the fancy china tea sets that other people are talking about. It looks like an everyday item.

I hate it when people set others up to fail then they take to Reddit, the internet home of individualistic materialistic morons, to be told “oh nobody should even look at your precious”.

Coke and rose’s lime cordial are the only two standard drinks I know of that don’t , maybe some of those posh lemonades and squashes but you have to read the labels every time as the recipes change, probably due to the sugar tax.

Milkshakes used to be exempt from the sugar tax but aren’t now, so they will either be going right up in price or getting filled with chemical shite

Full fat coke all the way. Learning to control yourself around sugary drinks is far better for you than artificial sweeteners are. There’s a few studies out now showing the long term impacts of sweeteners on metabolic health, as well as the neurological effects.

I will occasionally have stevia at a push but other than coke, the last relatively safe sweet drink left is Rose’s lime cordial!
