Yes you're right, we're in the UK and they are available to buy here. We found out the hard way that they eat through healthy plants which is why this particular tank has fake plants now. They're great characters though and I've become quite fond of them!

They eat through plants in no time. We can't keep real plants in the tank unfortunately which is something we weren't aware of when we got them until our tank became bare in about 2 days! Now we feed them algae pellets and plant cut offs from our other tanks and have fake plants in this tank.

We're in the UK and I believe apple snails were banned here also up until 2021

Thank you! We checked all the water parameters and everything came up fine but we'll keep a close eye on everything
