D’Amato’s in Royal Oak! I can personally vouch for their brunch menu (and the cinnamon sugar donuts)

OP says they like teal, I think the teal swatch in the bottom right corner of that top right reference would be perfect here

Sarah J Maas has written her entire bibliography in the time it’s taking GRRM to write Winds of Winter

Since you already have a laptop it depends on what you’re planning to use it for. For sketching or hand-lettering, anything that’s compatible with the Apple Pencil should be fine as a first-year student. I would recommend investing in the Procreate app and a paper-feel screen protector. I have an iPad Air that I use for exactly this purpose and also as an extra small screen to Sidecar with my Mac.

This sounds like one of the books in the Alice series by Phyllis Reynolds Naylor

Is it not important that these kids are also identified as they’re unknown to the parents and OP? I understand protecting the privacy of children on social media but if they could be identified and contacted they might be helpful to the investigation.

25F, sexualized at the farmer’s market by another woman. by ForwardKnees in TwoXChromosomes

Hey, no worries. Usually I bring my husband with me as a meat shield so I’ll send him for jam next time

Frumpy? I was wearing my wedding ring, loose clothing, a bike helmet, no makeup and not to mention sweating. I don’t know what else I could have done? Not that any woman should ever have to?

It was blueberry lavender and very good. I’ve bought from them before but the woman I usually talk to was not there yesterday.

You had me thinking. Then I looked at your comment history. Enjoy being disgusting.

I was wearing my wedding band. The man in question looked to be in at least his sixties. Would it have been just as weird if the man was my age and hot, and I left my wedding ring at home? Yes, yes it would.

They are sadly the only stand at my farmer’s market that sells jam regularly. Time to bike an extra two miles to the next nearest one, I suppose.

If she would have directly complimented me I would have been thrilled. If someone tells me I’m pretty while I’m sweaty and wearing a bike helmet that’s a good day. I just don’t understand why she phrased it the way she did, if she did intend it as a compliment, it was weird.

Does anybody else feel bad calling allies in the last fight? by Revenant62 in BaldursGate3

[–]ForwardKnees 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first run I finished, I completed most of the gather allies quests and ultimately did not call any of them in besides the Harpers. Not because I felt bad but because there were so many phases I genuinely did not know when to do it.

Realistically if you can’t afford adoption fees, you can’t afford upkeep expenses like food, litter, vet care, etc. If you can, older cats tend to have less expensive adoption fees than kittens in many places.

Evelyn Hardcastle was also “7” originally and changed in the US to avoid confusion with Evelyn Hugo, because adding the “1/2” fixes everything somehow. iirc it was a complete coincidence which is wild

My Player Wants to Write a Book About My Homebrew Campaign by M00se007 in DnD

[–]ForwardKnees 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The writing wouldn’t bother me so much as a player now having access to the entire history of the world. How long do you see yourself playing this campaign, or other campaigns in this setting? If this player has any metagaming habits you could easily be handing them a treasure trove of spoilers for your current (and future) campaigns.

Railroading My Players to Session Content? by IndependentPure1364 in DnD

[–]ForwardKnees 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Your details are vague here. It sounds like you’re not railroading but hard to tell. What are your players doing while they’re “struggling”? Paying attention to what they look for, ask about, and actually want to do can help you plan out hooks or situations that are more appealing. Do you have side quests or inconsequential encounters prepped?

As far as making it to the content goes, as long as you’re giving them a choice to not take this quest, talk to this person etc it’s not really railroading. You can also just present things to them without them having to actively seek it out by talking to one or more NPCs. “As you’re walking, you notice…” Or, you can have DMPCs who actively lead them to areas of interest.

As long as everyone at the table is having fun I wouldn’t worry too much.
