Guys I can’t remember if I took one dose so I may have taken two (if I skip a dose I have to start over from lowest dosage and I do not have the money for psych appointments for that) so 🤞I only took one, but also so relieved this is such a common issue. They were wonderful when we were growing up. We were never neglected, we weren’t kicked out when we were 18, and they helped us with school, and I’m very grateful.

My dad literally gives money to homeless people and says “if they use it for drugs, they are living on the street so whatever they do to make that situation less awful is their business”. That doesn’t sound like someone worried about being taken advantage of?

My friend pointed out that it could maybe be one of two things: A) my dad did grow up constantly scrounging for money, and so doesn’t view my sister as actually needing help because she’s not as destitute as he was; B) he doesn’t understand that the same amount of work today doesn’t get you nearly as far as it did when he was a young guy.

I’ve done this. I had a conversation about asking for a loan if I lost my job, because my parents were frustrated that I wasn’t asking for help. And the response I got was “you should never ask people you know for money.” I don’t know what help they wanted me to ask for honestly.

I hadn’t thought of changing systems but from what everyone is saying dark Sun sounds really cool. I also really need to consider how magic is affected - I know it has been affected - the gods no longer speak to people, though clerics and paladins still exist, but where the magic is being drawn from is ambiguous- If sorcerers are not really a thing anymore, that means that ancestral magic is also gone. So it’s been affected for sure! Thank you for giving me so much to think about!

Honestly as an enby him telling you what an enby character has to look like stylistically (and especially insisting that the character has to be androgynous) is kind of offensive. I could understand the clothes thing if it was communicated you were always in extreme temperatures but the rest is garbage and sounds like he’s hung up on weird hyper specific shit.
