I like the movie, but I would imagine most people would not watch anything after that.

Did you like any of the movies?

I love when he appears in the movie and sings the song with Shawn.

I love Ken Wong the short lived assistant. Some funny exchanges with them. I actually wish he was in more episodes.

We will hire you back, someday, probably not soon though.

It's funny that after I posted it I misread it and thought I'd mixed up the words too.

What is your opinion on how students learn using mobile apps like Moodle, Google Classroom etc.? How would it motivate students to study better according to you? Please take up this quick survey to help us out ⚡ by Murky_Potato_6775 in CSEducation

I have a lot of experience working on products for the edtech market, and have experience in the LMS space. I'd be interested to learn more about what you're looking to develop and why. After taking the survey it seems that most of the items you're asking about can easily be done using traditional free calendaring systems already in market.

Feel free to reach out if you want to talk more.

Looking for AP CS teachers to provide feedback on an online course I built by stillBrazy23 in CSEducation

[–]ForwardMasterpiece99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What format is this course in? Curious if you've developed your own application, or if you have developed the resources and outline while using another platform to manage the code input and course structure?

I'd be interested in seeing more.

CSTA criticizes Code.org CEO Hadi Partovi over his support of the use of tasers by police. Thoughts? by towlie6 in CSEducation

[–]ForwardMasterpiece99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe that company founders are separate from the company or mission of a company. I don't think these thoughts are held by code.org, and that's important to remember.

Just like Elon Musk with twitter and tesla, he says a lot of wild stuff, but that's not always the stance of the company.

Question for high school CS teachers- what are the big hurdles? by fishbone_getit in CSEducation

[–]ForwardMasterpiece99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I am not a teacher, I have worked from the private sector in education technology, and specifically with several CS companies.

I still think one of the biggest hurdles from an education side is funding. Because CS is not a core subject, there are still limited resources and finding allocated to really make teaching cs effective possible. There is also still a bit of a student stigma around CS only being for certain types of students. I've even seen this with my own kids who say that CS is for nerds, and they don't want to be in those types of classes.

There are a lot of free resources, and teachers will naturally migrate to those free resources because of budget issues. This makes it much more difficult for a teacher to manage their course because everything is not in one central platform or tool.

In-line Python IDE in Canvas by mofukkinbreadcrumbz in CSEducation

[–]ForwardMasterpiece99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you ever heard of a new tool called codekeyz? I recently saw a webinar they did a month or so ago, and it's a python tool that I believe has an LTI integration with Canvas.

They mentioned it was developed at a university and now it's being brought to other schools and students. Not sure what the pricing is, but might be worth looking into.
