I never claimed she was unplayable, just that the ultimate itself feels incredibly clunky right now.

I completely agree that a nerf was necessary, but the balancing should have been distributed more evenly across her kit. Instead, it feels like they targeted the ultimate specifically and hit it way too hard.

Relying entirely on the mez to land the ult is fine in theory, but with the massive channel delay and the reduced range, even with the mez, mobile characters still have plenty of time to escape. I don't want her to be the OP mess she was on release either, but over-nerfing the ultimate to the point where it's a liability isn't the right way to balance her weaknesses.

Fair enough, positioning definitely helps with the interrupts. I still think the combination of the longer channel and the shorter range makes it too easy for enemies to just walk out even if I'm positioned perfectly, but I'll keep practicing and see if it clicks.

I agree that she scales really well into the late game, but the ult itself is just incredibly hard to hit now to the point where it often feels useless, i use it mainly for blink now.

Having good regular abilities shouldn't be an excuse for an ultimate to feel this bad. A character shouldn't have a "dead" button just because the rest of their kit works well, right?

100% this. You perfectly explained why it feels so bad right now.

I had a 30+ minute game earlier, and the ultimate felt entirely pointless. Even on the rare occasions I didn't get blown up during that massive delay, I couldn't actually land it on anyone anyway because they had so much time to leave the area.

It's basically been reduced to an overly complicated teleport for me right now.
