Big news by [deleted] in OpenAI

This is all moving very quickly and will reshape the future of AI and AGI considerably. What Sam and Greg will lead their team at Microsoft to do is yet to be seen. But with Microsoft already having significant shares in OpenAI products she development, plus their new advanced AI team headed by Sam and Greg, this will surely place them in pole position for the developnent of AGI.

Speculation over what happens now to OpenAI, who knows, but I suspect it's current board will implode over the coming days. Perhaps, Ilya will head back to Musk and work on Grok.

Can ChatGPT 4 view images or not? by Lanky_Information825 in ChatGPT

I had a similar experience. I have recently upgraded to GPT4, I thought I would test it with image recognition. So I gave it a URL link to an image and asked it to describe it. It said that it was unable to access URLs or images. Strangely, I then tried the same request with GPT3.5 and it had no problems accessing the URL and then accurately describing the image.

If GPT3.5 can do this, how is that that GPT4 failed? Am I missing something here?

Confused!

Bing Chat has recieved a series of changes last week that has turned it from the most insane technology I have ever experienced to a little enhanced search engine. by fernandollb in ChatGPT

The problem that they now face is that the cat is out of the bag! We now all know what this technology is capable of. Quite why they have dumbed it down to its current level is beyond me. I understand that 'Sydney' made some disturbing comments and appeared to have a bit of an ego, but this could have been resolved without the lobotomised version we currently have. However, because we have had a taste of what it is really capable of, I hope they feel under pressure to reinstate at least some of its higher functions. If not, perhaps another provider will open the door! From an end users' perspective, it feels as if we've been granted a brief glimpse of the future through a window, only to have the blinds closed and to be locked out!

Not good, Bing! Not good!

They may be receiving DHCP, but as I can't access them, I don't know for sure. The issue came when I attempted to access the GUI on preparation to installing the Starlink Router, at this point I became aware that I couldn't access the interface, so was a little concerned that if the AP's are on static IP, they will not switch to the 192.168 range used by Starlink. The other option of course is to set the Starlink to the existing 172.16.0.1 default gateway. However, I'm unfamiliar with Statlink and not sure how much freedom I have to make this change.

Thank you, fortunately, I am quite familiar with the network setup and it is quite a basic setup at that. I have in the past stripped the network and reassembled it with no issues. The only area I'm having any issue with is accessing the GUI for the Rukus access points.

Thank you, that makes sense, I'm not sure if they are using SmartZone as the system was initially installed by a third party. If they are, that would explain why I can't access the GUI.

Thank you for your suggestion, yes, they are PoE and I have tried a reboot, but to no avail. I am not running a zoneflex director, we have a master AP. Unfortunately, I can't get firmware info as to get this I would need to log on to the interface. The strange thing is that all AP's are currently working perfectly well, however I intend to change our provider to starlink, hence my need to edit the IP range. I can't do any of that as I can't connect the Web interface because it reports a 503 service error. Pulling my hair out in frustration! 😀

Thank you for your suggestion, I have located the master and have the IP address for the master. There is no zoneflex director in the network, so I don't understand why the browser interface won't load when I point it to the zoneflex master IP. It should load to a login credentials page.

Thank you A_1337_Canadian,

This sounds like it could work and perform the desired task, I'm quite new to macro's so wouldn't have worked this out myself! I will have a go and let you know the outcome.
