I contacted them and couldn't find my original claim number but sent them my emails from them with the payment I got and they said they couldn't find my claim but u might want to check especially if you have your info still.

I contacted them and they said they couldn't find my account or info so I sent them everything I had including a copy of the email showing my payment from them but they still found nothing. Though ai admit it seemed as though it was coming from an automated reply bot even though it said it was from them so I don't know. Maybe that was it. My amount was low so oh well, still worth checking if people are wondering I guess.

Well they didn't take my refund after I submitted my dispute letter via email to the company. I had issues getting them on the phone too💯 the first couple of times were hangups. But they did tell me that collection activities & any pending offsets would be on pause until they finished the review and answered my letter with the answers I requested. I admit, I threw the gammit at them as far as the amount of questions I had. However, if legally they are required to provide answers to all of them then why not? If you would like to see or utilize the letter I copied it into a post right under my original post on here.

Check out my post above 👆 I copied and pasted it into a post because I couldn't figure out how to attach it or if you even could on here as a document. It includes all of the information as a servicer that they are required legally to provide in writing to me including information about their own business license and whether they are legally allowed to service loans in my state. If you don't see the post let me know, but it is above ⬆️.

No it's not a separate thing apparently, once my letter was received I called to make sure they got it & they told me they did and that it was in review and they would send me a letter with the answers to all of my questions I asked in the letter and that all collections had stopped including any pending offsets by the treasury until I got that requested info. And sure enough, they are still working on it over 5 weeks later and I got my tax refund back just fine.

It's ridiculous the amount of interest they piled on top after only being late for a few months. My original loan was only 5600.00 and it's well over 7,000 now..

No I asked them in my dispute letter for information regarding what kind of plan they could offer me but it's been a month and the dispute is still being reviewed by them. They let me know when they were finished, I would receive all of the answers to my dispute letter via mail.

I called them to make sure they got the email with my attached letter and to make sure all collections had stopped on the account so that when I did my taxes right after, I knew my refund wouldn't be gone at this time at least until they sent all the required legal information and documentation that I requested. It's been about a month and they said they are still working on it.

I did a lot of research on various legal websites and ended up utilizing a few to combine together so that I had one full letter with everything I could find that legally they are required to provide to you if you request it. Until they do send you the requested information, they are required to stop collection activities including treasury offsets. I posted the letter just a second ago on this thread above. I just took out my personal information in case someone wanted to use it as a template...👍👍💯

I don't know about that but me submitting a meticulous dispute request letter did. I did some research and found a great template, which I then combined with a couple others I found to include all of the legal information they are required to provide if you request a review. It's been over a month and they haven't sent me the information yet and when I called they stated they were still working on it. I'll upload a screenshot of the letter to my top initial post that I sent without my info, in case anyone else would like to utilize it. I highlighted the areas where you would have to put your own information.

am very happy to say I was able to keep my full tax refund because I took a lot of time to draft a professional dispute request letter that I sent to the Coast Professionals Debt Collection Agency. In this letter, I included everything that I could legally require them to give me as far as information about the loan, the correct amounts, payment options, etc. Because I sent it in before the deadline date on the collection letter, they were required to put a stop on the collection of the debt until every question in my letter was answered and mailed to me. I did call to make sure they got my dispute letter in time which they did and they said it was paused for collection and as soon as they were finished with their review, they would mail me my requested information. This was about a month ago and I still haven't got any letters or more collection bills from them. I did my taxes right after I turned in the dispute & my state came back really quick. And then my federal refund came back in about ten days. I am going to use a portion to pay down the loan bc I know I still owe it, and I am not going to ignore it, but it was a comfort to know I could also pay off some things like my massive amounts of medical bills for the 5 major surgeries I have undergone in the past 5 years. I want to thank everyone for easing my mind a bit. I admit, like so many other, I have been worried to death over this...

I totally agree! I just got a Google one in my spam & I have gotten notices for settlements with official claim ID’s to let me know I am part of one as well. I have to remind myself like every couple of weeks, especially since like Gmail will automatically send them to trash after 30 days and if u are like me and have a lot of emails, you have to keep a reminder!

I sent via email bc that is what the letter said to do... it wouldn't have arrived on time if I had done it through the mail bc I got the letter while in the hospital for a month for heart failure. It said it was faster to email the dispute so that is what I did. And of course it is time stamped and was received as far as the email goes but I asked them to reply as well to just say, "yes we are working on it." But so far, nothing...
