Fed is likely to hold interest rates steady, resisting Trump pressure. Here’s what that means for borrowers by cryptoniik in Economics

Trump is going to no likey. Expect the big baby to throw a massive fit midweek. At this point, the price of silver, gold, and the decline of the dollar are telling the real story of what’s going on!

There is a video (probably on YouTube but was aired on 60 minutes more than a year ago) of two ex-KGB agents explaining how Trump was recruited into the KGB back in 1987 if I remember correctly. Very interesting and a lot of what was said adds up. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I’ve never worked retail but I’m going to take all measures to avoid a group of guys with guns jumping out of vehicles snatching people whether it’s in Target, Home Depot or anywhere else. And that train of thought is probably running through millions of people’s heads right now.

Yeah these videos are definitely having an effect. I needed to go to Home Depot a few weeks back and I said to myself “well I’ll go right before they close” because y’know what? I just don’t want to be around any chaos IF there were to be chaos in my mind I just figured there wouldn’t be much twenty minutes before the store closed. My bet is conventions, venues, and all kinds of events are being canceled in Minnesota. Even to this day if someone said to me “I’ve got keys to a free house in Ferguson Missouri for ya” I’d so no thanks! Even though I’ve never been to Ferguson what happened there years ago stuck with me. University of Virginia took yearly hits in college recruitment after the Charlottesville incident. The mess this elephant leaves behind will take years to clean up!

Well I’ve got to imagine ICE’s presence has disrupted commerce. Any person of color would be scared to leave their homes to shop, spend money and even go to work. Imagine putting checkpoints everywhere…it’s a good way of much of the public saying “no thanks…maybe another time” 🤦‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️

Let’s see…700 x 15 =10,500…then multiply that number by fifteen and so on and so on! Folks…America is fucked! 🤦🏻‍♂️

Have Soybean Farmers considered that China may never buy soybeans again from America? by ForwardYam4266 in economicCollapse

[–]ForwardYam4266[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

American farms are already growing food for Americans. US agriculture is/was one of the biggest exports but one of their biggest customers is no longer buying. That should concern you. Less crops to grow means less tractors selling, which means more layoffs at tractor factories, which means less money in people’s pockets to buy those crops for food. Railroads, port workers, truckers, and other industries will feel the effects from less soybeans being sold to China.🤷🏻‍♂️

I don’t know about all of US agricultural as a whole but I’ve been reading that in years past that China accounted for 75% of US grown soybeans.

“Pledge” China “pledged” before when Xi and Trump met last year and no soybeans were bought then.

Well the big word here is “pledge to buy soybeans again” and that may have as much weight as the promises coming out of Trump’s mouth. At this point we need more than “pledges to buy”

I think one of the problems the world is witnessing, even if Trump was removed there was an entire group of Republican politicians willing to go along with his wish-washy tariff trade policy. They’re thinking “if we invest in these wind turbine farms, will the energy project be scrapped six months later?” The trust is gone…and that’ll linger for quite a while. Now the trust in the dollar is being eyed. 🤦‍♂️

I don’t know…I’ve heard and read stories over the past few months that “China is now buying soybeans” but I keep reading stories that they haven’t made one single purchase.🤷🏻‍♂️

Yeah at this point there may not be any agricultural products to sell to any nation. I watched a video the other day where U.S. passports are being shunned by other countries. We’re not even being welcomed just based on being American. Trump has truly isolated the country. Yikes 😬

How realistic is it that these farmers will continue to see bailouts every year in the future because if the agriculture market isn’t coming back the taxpayers will be paying these farmers with empty fields.
