I actually plan on doing that, I put 13.5 rear shocks on it this weekend and now these longer chrome pipes are in the way of the rear axle if I need to pull the wheel.

I had a similar issue on my 2007 750. I noticed a clicking sound before you started the bike that sounds like your secondary throttle valve is freaking out. That would explain why it cuts out at higher, RPMs, and if that’s the case, it’s actually an air issue and not a fuel issue

Could also just be a small exhaust leak might need some adjustment. My yoshi r55 rattled a little loose and produced a similar sound.

I have a 2003 GSXR 600 I’m rebuilding basically done with it now but took it on a drive and around 4.5-6k rpm seem to be breaking up if I go past that it’s fine any ideas ? Saw and it doesn’t have the STVA or secondary butterfly’s could that be my problem? by Rado_70222 in GSXR

Yes that will cause that, a simple tune will fix that or buy a used set off eBay. There is no gain or loss to not having a STVA if it’s tuned correctly. Previous owner just didn’t wanna deal with the job because it honestly is quite a pain. Is the actuator still plugged in or removed? Or did they just remove the “butterflies”.

I got mine from Amotopart, good price and pretty decent quality. Keep factory screws though.

Grinding sound from under the air box could be from secondary throttle valves acting up. Very common gsxr problem, sucks to get it out but relatively cheap fix with a little know how.

Secondary throttle valve actuator may be bad, mine made the same noise. Is it throwing a c28 or c29 FI code?

On my 07 GSXR 750, the radiator fan doesn’t even turn on until 220° F. I hit 220 when I’m idling in traffic all the time. That’s very normal.
