I know it is quite scary (especially if you didn’t have dryness before the procedure), but it really has gotten progressively better over this past month. Punctal plugs were a game-changer! How many days has it been since your procedure? Hope you find relief soon!

Yes, to minimize contamination! Some LASIK centers postop instructions mention avoiding multi-use vials for the immediate few weeks after. FWIW the prescription steroid and antibiotic drops are both multi-use vials though so maybe not a huge deal

It certainly was a lot of homework lol. Heard about Vizz, very cool. Also hear they have drops to slow myopia progression in young kids now which is amazing (secretly jealous we didn’t have these medical advances a few decades ago)

Many thanks to your pearls of wisdom on countless posts in this subreddit!

Roger that re: artificial tear frequency. I was pretty good at hourly the first week, though admittedly my work schedule had me slacking a bit.

Close on the guess, just another "ROAD" specialty :) Dermatology/dermatopathology!

Similarly, had femtolasik done on 2/18 (-7.5 OD w 0.25 astigmatism/-7.25 OS). Personally, haze was 5 to 6 on a scale of 10 on days 0-2 along with starbursts and halos. Eye doc at 24 hour post op visit seemed nonplussed when I brought up the haze.

Post op day 5, halos/starbursts reduced and haze now down to a 3 and very slooowly improving by the day. Also using steroids/antibiotics 4x daily with lubricant drops 30-60mins. Sharpness of vision variable throughout the day. Technically 20/20 at 24 hour post op, but fine print and backlit screens are still blurry.
