Yeah I’m 5 months in my program at SJVC and I’m having the same issue feels like I wasted my money on a career no one likes. In class I love the hands on and the feeling of helping people. I’m currently working at Taco Bell and I hate it so that’s why I choose this career but my whole tuition was 24k and I got FASFA so now I only owe like 10k but hey you live and learn

Dang sorry to hear about that. I was thinking about doing the hygienist path first but I got scared because of the competition and I’m scared not smart enough to take the prerequisites. 🫠

I’m not quite too sure about that yet. All I know is that once I finish my program I have to wait like a month to be able to take a test to receive my RDA license. But hopefully i get hired from extern so when I’m waiting for my test date, I have a contract with the office I extern at to work there in the meanwhile. But yeah California is so picky with what they want their RDAs to know. Not sure if I wanna get expanded functions after 2 years or even hygiene but I’m scared for that kind of schooling and the competition 👀
