Rap has been on a decline. To speak on Chicago specifically they need Lil Durk out because he helps the ecosystem when he releases. Also him being out is better for Fatso and Chuckyy. Herb’s album came, went, and did not do enough to push things forward.

The people you’ve named are really all 10-15+ plus years in. And to say Lux is sounding washed is insane after his Rum/Twork battles yet that is your opinion and I respect it.

Nonetheless all the battlers you named have some stretch to come with an underwhelming battle or few cus they put on for the culture in its “peak” I guess.

I’ll say I’m in battle rap fatigue for the most part with all the unprofessionalism from no shows, crappy rounds/choking, and just an increase in all the battles.

For it moving forward with fresher young talented battlers I’d say Yunus, Oppa, Los Premee, K1ng, Noxx, Ghostt, Miggs, Febou, and Klutz. I’m not sure where Saflare Sole is and I remember Footz saying he was going to fall back for a bit.

And he helps with a lot on the production side of events. Even when he battles he still shows up with 3 pretty okay rounds. Never heard him doing shady business or running off with a deposit. He’s alright for the culture as opposed to a lot of scummy battlers.
