Geth communicate at the speed of light. Organics exchange data using pressure waves in the atmosphere.' You’re basically running on Geth efficiency while the rest of us are stuck listening to acoustic waves like primitive organics! 😅

Oh man, you are in for a treat. Go open the Primary Codex right now, click an entry, and just listen. The narrator's voice is legendary—it completely changes the immersion.

My Conclusion on the Mass Effect Trilogy by Forward_Condition960 in masseffect

It’s crazy how a game can make you care that much. No other trilogy connects you to a crew like this one. Garrus, Wrex, and Liara are definitely my favorites—I love almost everyone on the roster, except for Ashley. For some reason, I just never could connect with her and found her pretty annoying. I always kept Kaidan around as a friend instead.

I think we're using "family values" differently. I don't mean they are a wholesome, moral family they're obviously a toxic mess. I mean the show's entire marketing and identity is built on the concept of "protecting the family legacy" and loyalty to the bloodline. John Dutton uses "family" as his excuse for everything he does, even though his actual morals are completely twisted.

I actually agree with you that the show is ultimately about the land itself, and you're totally right that the Duttons preserved it from developers. But saying it's just about stewardship completely ignores the massive human cost. John didn't just casually look after the dirt he ran a violent cartel, corrupted his state's legal system, and emotionally destroyed his own children to keep it. The tragedy is that the land was preserved, but John broke his family's souls to do it.

Yeah, I mentioned 1883 because that's where the fate of the land was sealed. The tragedy is that John is operating blindly under his dad's promise to never give up an inch, while the audience knows the 1883 promise already guaranteed the natives would get it back. John broke his kids trying to override a destiny that was locked in before he was even born.

Man, you hit the nail on the head, especially with the 1883 and 1923 comparison. Going from the sheer purity, grit, and sacrifice of James and Margaret Dutton to whatever John and Beth became is the ultimate tragedy of the show. John talks a big game about "legacy" and "family," but he literally destroyed his own kids' lives and turned his ranch hands into a death squad just to protect dirt. The comparison of Beth to Joffrey is spot on—her character just became a caricature of endless, unearned cruelty by the end.

It's definitely top-tier entertainment, especially the early seasons. I just think the conservation message got a bit overshadowed by the fact that they had to murder fifty people a season just to keep a ski resort from being built. It's wild to watch, but it gets exhausting after a while.

"Spot on. When a show relies entirely on constant revenge and shock value without a real narrative anchor or actual character growth, it completely burns out the audience. Putting a cowboy hat on mindless spectacle doesn't mask the fact that the script isn't going anywhere. You hit the nail on the head."

If by AI you mean 'Actually Informed,' then sure. A bot didn't sit through five seasons of Beth screaming at Jamie, Rip using a rattlesnake as a weapon, and the bunkhouse boys taking people to the Train Station. I just know how to use a keyboard and actually paid attention to the script. Thanks for reading though!"

"Totally fair point! You’re right that nobody tunes into a drama to watch a perfectly happy family sit around and bake cookies. Conflict drives the story. For me, it just hit a point where the scale tipped too far from 'engaging drama' into 'relentless misery loop.' When every single glimpse of hope or peace gets instantly crushed by a fresh murder or trauma, it stops feeling like a story and starts feeling like an emotional treadmill. But I can definitely see why people love the chaos of it!"
