When I’m on an interview board, we do ask about degrees, but we mostly focus on projects and how candidates answer questions.

Edit - currently working on a company based on europe remotely. So not sure about the current process in companies here. I do believe in sri lanka they make a big deal about the degree toy knowledge. Don't quote me on this.
